Our weekly service is at 9:30 am on Sundays. Sunday School takes place next door in Faith Hall following service at approximately 10:45
am. Office Hours: Monday 9am-1pm. Wednesday & Thursday 9am-1pm. Fridays during summer, Pastor's day off. When school resumes, Monday will be Pastor's day off. Pastor Denny is always available by appointment

October 15, 2023, announcements from the bulletin: Children’s Sunday School following worship in Faith Hall. • Coffee hour following worship • “The Chosen” Bible study will meet on Sunday afternoons at 4:30 p.m. We will view an episode each week followed by a discussion. All are welcome! This week is episode 2. • The annual sewing bee has been set for October 21, 9:00 a.m.-3:00 p.m. We will be making fleece hats and neck warmers. Ways for you to help include providing fleece, cutting out hats, or sewing; we hope you can join us for all or part of the day. • Exercise at 8:30 a.m. in the church basement on Monday and Wednesday. • It's time to pack our shoe boxes. Start with a WOW item like a teddy bear, doll, or ball and fill in from there. Older boys like tool kits, older girls sewing kits, fabric and scissors. Other ideas: hygiene items, wet wipes, play dough, rubber bugs, reusable plastic containers, compact mirror, or school supplies. Remember NO candy, toothpaste, war related items, lotions or liquids. You may include a family picture, letter and your address in case your child is able to write back. Pray for your child as you are packing the box. There are 3 ways to pay: 1. Online allows you to print a label and be notified when your box reaches its destination. https://www.samaritanspurse.com 2. Check payable to Samaritans Purse (put OCC in the memo line). 3. Cash. If you are paying for multiple boxes you may write one check or place all cash in one box on top of packed items. Cost is $10.00 per box, tape label on box and close with a rubber band. Boxes and Labels for boy/girl are on the back podium. Shoe boxes are due Sunday, November 12, 2023. Donations may be made to UMW and we will do the shopping for you. • Our church voted to disaffiliate from the UMC and align with the Global Methodist church. Watch for more information as we make plans for the transition. • Proposed mission statement for Our Church: We are a fellowship of believers, centered on Christ and the unchanging Word of God, doing our best to proclaim Jesus to the people around us through our words and actions. September 17, 2023, announcements from the bulletin: At 2:00 p.m. TODAY, is the vote to disaffiliate from the United Methodist Church. As long as you are a member, come and let your voice be heard. • Thank you to all who helped make our 150th Birthday Celebration a success. The food and fellowship were great... except for the bees!! • Sunday School will start today for the children and on the 8th of October for the adults. We are going to continue to have coffee hour (for 40 minutes) after our worship service; the Adult Sunday School Class will begin at 11:10 and will end shortly after the noon hour. We are continuing our walk through the Gospel of John, picking up at chapter 16, so read up and come join us as we discuss the scripture and most any other topic that arises through our time together. • We will be starting a weekly Bible Study around the TV Series, "The Chosen". Discover what it means when Jesus chooses YOU! We will have a viewing of the first episode on Sunday, October 8th, at 4:00 p.m. at the church. Come and be blessed by this awesome story about Jesus and his disciples as they figure out their role in the kingdom of God. We will decide when and where future studies will be held once we determine who is interested in joining with us on this adventure. September 3, 2023, announcements from the bulletin: There is a Zoom meeting with the DS and the Church Council on Thursday, September 7th, at 7 p.m. We will meet in Faith Hall. If you cannot make it to Faith Hall see Pastor Denny for the Zoom meeting address to join that way. • Mission and Vision Planning Meeting Part 2 this Saturday, September 9th, at 9.a.m. until noon Faith Hall. Come with your ideas and input and be ready to work. Hope to see you there! • Church Picnic on September 10th, after morning worship in the Reese Community Park. We will be celebrating 150 years of fellowship here in Reese. There will be loads of fun and fellowship with a potluck lunch and activities. (There is a sign-up sheet for the meal.) • September 17th at 2 p.m. is our date to vote on disaffiliating from the United Methodist Church. Sunday, August 20, 2023: announcements from the bulletin: On Saturday, August 26th, we are going to be coming together for a time of visioning; what does the future hold for our church here in Reese? How do we see Jesus using us in the future? How can we be the light of Christ for our community going forward? Let's get together and talk/brainstorm/pray about the direction our church needs to go. We will gather at the church from 10 a.m.-1 p.m. A light "working' lunch will be provided with hot dogs, drinks and condiments provided; bring chips, veggies or fruit if you would like, but please come. • September 17th, at 2 p.m. is our date to vote on disaffiliating from the United Methodist Church. Hope to see everyone there. • Summer Connections are underway. You should be hearing from someone soon about joining for food and fellowship. If no one has contacted you please contact Pastor Denny. • Our Church Picnic is scheduled for September 10th following morning Worship, mark your calendars! • "Coffee Hour" after each Sunday service during the summer.
