It is with heavy hearts that we announce the unexpected passing of Michelle Ann Jenkins (Marshall), 48, of Burgess, Virginia, on August 27, 2026. Michelle was born in Fairport, Virginia, and was a lifelong resident of the Northern Neck and a graduate of Northumberland High School.

Known affectionately as “Shell,” “Eeyore,” or “IU,” Michelle was a beloved daughter, devoted mother, loving aunt, and cherished sister. She had a special way of touching the lives of those around her and will be deeply missed by all who knew and loved her.

Michelle was preceded in death by her grandparents, Ginny and Smith Marshall of Tangier Island, Virginia, and Dorothy and Richard Bowen of Reedville, Virginia.

Michelle was a lifelong member of Fairport Baptist Church, a place that held a special place in her heart. She had a deep love for the children of the church and was devoted to making them feel loved, welcomed, and special.

She leaves behind to cherish her memory her beloved son, Andrew Jenkins; her parents, Smithy and Susan Marshall; her sister, Stacey Marshall; her special nephew, Travis, with whom she shared a particularly close and loving bond; and Tyler Spring, who was like a nephew to her. She is also survived by her aunt, Lorraine Parks of Tangier Island and her cousins, Jamie Lynn Parks and Greg Parks of Tangier Island.

Michelle’s memory will live on through the people she loved and the many lives she touched. Though her passing was unexpected, the love she gave and the memories she created will remain forever.

A graveside service will be held at a later date at the Roseland Cemetery in Reedville, Virginia.

We are so proud of Taylor Cullison and his decision to accept Christ and follow in believers baptism! He wears a bracelet on his wrist, when you tap it it sends scripture to your device. This was his verse today. He is a believer and anything is possible! ❤️
