In these verses, Isaiah speaks of a world where the creation has been so changed - so radically transformed -
that animals that once preyed on each other will sit together in peace. This is a picture of what life will be like under the reign of Christ. These verses should give us hope. Fear and death and violence will not have the final word - God’s kingdom will. It will be a time when the curse of sin is finally broken and when the knowledge, glory, and peace of God will fill every corner of creation.
