Wow, what a year our youth group has had! It’s always bittersweet to have to bid farewell to those who will be moving on into the big wide world. But God has never failed to replace the empty seats left behind and bring new bright shining faces into our midst! In our last few months we gained no less than six lively teens that have already begun to shape what next year looks like, and I’m excited to see what the Lord has for all of us to learn together. We completed our Lessons for the Lips as we studied the many scriptures that caution us about our words, the weight, impact, and consequences they can carry. We outlined the virtues and the mighty Sword of Truth that can help us take control of the thoughts that eventually form our words. We gave action to our goals with some “best foot forward” steps into the area to lift and encourage others, and forge some building blocks of future pillars of community. I couldn’t be more proud of the work ethic and heart to give that these young ladies and gentlemen have shown through the year. It has truly been our honor and privilege to work with these teens! We had my first ever exchange student this year from Finland, and Julian will be truly missed. I think we can go ahead and call ourselves The Reed Point International Youth Outreach now! What an amazing thing!
Thank you, again, to our amazing church family who braved new recipes and strived to keep our tummies full despite dietary restrictions and allergies! We can’t thank you enough for all your generosity, prayers, and support. May you all be blessed indeed!
