As we journey toward the end of Lent, we’re invited to reflect, repent, and renew our hearts in Christ.

St. James will be holding a Penance Service on March 24th.

Let’s take this time to seek God’s mercy and prepare ourselves to fully rejoice in the hope and new life of the Resurrection 🙏✨

Live our Lenten call to prayer, fasting, and charity ✝️💜

Family Faith Formation presents two opportunities to put your faith into action:

📅 March 21 | 12:30–2:00 PM | Kavanagh Hall
Serve with love—decorate lunch bags, write heartfelt cards for those in need, organize donated food, and help clean our kitchen and hall to support ongoing meal prep. Every small act becomes a powerful witness of Christ’s love.

📅 March 25 | 7:00 PM | Kavanagh Hall
Be renewed through reflection with Cynthia Jones-Campbell, Associate Director of the Archdiocese of Los Angeles’ Racial Relations Ministry. Her passion for cultural diversity and faith-centered dialogue will invite us deeper into empathy, unity, and encounter this Lent.

Let this season transform not just our hearts—but our actions. Come serve. Come reflect. Come grow. 🙏

Third Sunday of Lent ✝️ Our OCIA community celebrates its First Scrutiny this weekend. We look back to the Rite of Sending, when our catechumens and candidates were affirmed by our parish and sent to the Bishop, enrolling their names in the Book of the Elect as they prepare for the Sacraments of Initiation.

Please keep them in your prayers this Lenten season. 🙏

St. James will be holding a Penance Service on December 16th. As we enter this holy season, please also pay close attention to upcoming Christmas Mass dates and times, as well as parish office hours and holiday closures.

Wednesday, December 3rd: The Catholic Parents Series presented by Family Faith Formation. Join us for parent conversations around the series, The Catholic Parent, by Formed. This series is open to all parents and guardians. Each week, we will focus on one area of living out our faith with videos and time for discussion with other parents. 5:30pm-6:30pm, St. James School O’Gorman Center.

Friday, December 5th: Christmas Vespers presented by Music Ministry, a Christmas Concert. Concert curated by St. James various choirs starts at 7pm, St. James Church

Saturday, December 6th: Court Our Lady of Victory - Catholic Daughters presents: Holiday Boutique 2025
-Vintage Holiday Gifts
-homemade bake goods and treats
-free face painting - 10am to 12pm
-gingerbread house kit for $25.
10am-3pm, Kavanagh Hall.

Saturday, December 6th: Amplify Night presented by . A night of praise and worship, a talk by our very own Associate Pastor, Fr. Jonathan Nestico and Eucharistic Adoration. Doors open 6:45pm, starts 7pm, Community Campus Chapel.

Sunday, December 7th: St. James Cub Scouts will be hosting a wreath sale after the morning Masses. $35 each or $60 for 2. St. James Church
