Trinity Church Camp Trinity Church Camp has been a week-long camp in the great outdoors since 1912. Trinity Episcopal Church Redlands has held a week-long summer Camp since 1912.

The Camp is held on the shores of Boulder Bay on beautiful Big Bear Lake. Built around an amazing community in Christ, there are activities including daily Eucharist, arts and crafts, learning Gospel messages through dance, song and acting

Other activities include lake activities such as kayaking, stand-up paddle boards, boating and tubing, inside and outside games, hikes, and evening campfire. T

rinity Camp is unique in that the staff is all-volunteer, and the supervision ratio of counselors to campers is very high. Many staff members were campers as children and they return as counselors to make camp as memorable to the newest generation as it was to them. Life-long friendships are cemented at camp. That’s why there are multiple generations of families who have connected to Christ and to other Christians through this amazing week of fun, activity and relationship building.

We celebrate the life and legacy of The Reverend Canon Louis E. Hemmers, who passed away on March 11, 2026. Known to many Trinity Campers as Father Lou, the DiRector of Trinity Camp for over 20 years.
Whether he was recounting the history of our Catalina Island roots or silencing the dining hall with a single raised hand, Father Lou was the heart of the camp. He was a tireless advocate for Trinity Camp, ensuring through "camper-ships" that any child who wanted to experience camp could. As DiRector, he extended the love of Christ to every camper and counselor he met.
We are forever indebted to his decades of service and his unwavering spirit. A funeral service celebrating Lou’s life will be held on Friday, March 27, at 10:30 a.m. at Trinity Episcopal Church, 419 S. 4th St., Redlands, Ca. 92373
In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Trinity Episcopal Church, Trinity Episcopal Camp, or the Trinity Episcopal Altar Guild. Contributions can be mailed to:
