Visiting the Sick | December 16, 2019.

In fulfillment of the Apostolic Invitation received on November 29th, the youth and children of Redlands united to go visit brother Florentino Ventura who is currently in rehabilitation at a local skilled nursing facility.

Brother Florentino invited several residents of the facility to join us for a consecretion and they cheerfully accepted. As we sang hymns of trust and friendship, our brother and his guests found themselves engulfed in tears, thought not of sadness but spiritual joy.

We rejoiced in fulfilling this invitation and with Gods help will continue visiting our ill brethren.

Redlands Youth Study | December 9, 2019

After fulfilling the Apostolic Invitation for the youth of visiting those that are ill, the youth returned to the house of prayer to continue strengthening their faith through the word of life and teachings of the Apostle of Jesus Christ Naason Joaquin.

On this blessing filled evening, the study began by reviewing 2 Samuel utilizing video tools. It is important to note that the youth of Redlands are learning two concurrent lessons each week. One of them is which is helping them grasp the concept that the Bible is one large story told by different authors but all with one message that can be traced through each book. Secondly, each week they receive a lesson that is applicable and of edification for their age, circumstances, and questions they may have.

Tonight that lesson was titled “The Characteristics of the Baptism established by Jesus Christ.” With the upcoming universal celebration of baptisms, the Spirit of God brought to mind that the baptism practiced in the Light of the World church isn’t done according to mans idea, but follows the template laid out by Jesus Christ, our founder.

After a short breakout session with each group, we reconvened and analyzed four unique characteristics of this baptism. The youth were cheerful participants and analyzed biblical citations and logical reasonings.

We finalized by doing a Prayer of Worship to the Almighty God and continued planning out events and activities for the remainder of the year.

Redlands Youth Study | November 27, 2019

The youth continued steadfastly with their Christian education and formation in the teachings received by the Apostle of Jesus Christ Naason Joaquin Garcia understanding as Jesus said “Man shall not live by bread alone, but by every word that proceeds from the mouth of God.”

Following we reviewed 1 Samuel tonight and tied it in with the topic brought by the Spirit of God this week. God wants to bless us, God wants us to choose life, God h so much good for us but many times we are our own worst obstacle to obtain His blessing.

Gods blessing is within the reach of every single one of us and now that we’ve made the Choice to serve him and seek his blessing we must do our part by being responsible for our actions and accountable for their consequences.

The Lord blessed us tonight once again and we concluded our study by worshipping and thanking God in prayer.

Redlands Youth Study | November 13, 2019

The youth of Redlands met again to continue in their studies with the topic titled “The Importance of Evangelization.”

Continuing with our we viewed and briefly discussed the book of Ruth and it’s contribution to the story of God as a whole. An important point that was made in this book is that even in the most ordinary ways of our life, God is always present and at work.

Afterwards the Spirit of God invited the youth to observe the example of Christ when he began his evangelistic mission here on Earth. Citing verses in the 1,2, and 3rd chapters of the gospel of Mark we witnessed how Jesus invited and called others to unite to his mission.

In these days, it has been divine Inspiration in the Apostle Naasón Joaquin Garcia to form spiritual batallions for the expansion of the Gospel in all nations.

Guest speakers spoke to the youth about their own personal experiences in the spiritual batallions and encouraged the youth to accept this apostolic invitation. To finalize, the youth had the opportunity to ask questions and clarify misnomers regarding this apostolic disposition. All those that gathered this evening rejoiced in the fellowship of the Holy Spirit.

Redlands Youth Study | October 16, 2019
Tonight’s topic was “Free Will and Apostasy. Having Respect and Precaution.”
We began by reviewing the book of Joshua which is the first book of the history books of the Bible. The Man of God guided Israel into the promised land and reminded them of the law of God and its blessings. However, he did not choose for them. The famous words were that “He and his house would serve the Lord” but whatever the others decided to do, he respected their choice.
This led us to examine God’s attitude towards those that utilize their free will to choose (Genesis 4:7, Revelations 3:15-16). God doesn’t want our countenance to fall or to serve him with grumbling. God encourages us to make a choice, and he respects and honors our choice.
The youth were reminded to reflect the example of God and his messengers in our encounters with those who choose to depart (1 Timothy 4:1). We should have absolute respect for their choice and not enter into judgement or reproach. The spirit of God invited us to instead pray for them, reach out and offer our support, and love their souls as has always been the teaching of Jesus and his apostles.
However, we understand that there are boundaries which must be set and respected. They are our brethren and we love them and pray for their restoration but we should be careful and vigilant for the signs of apostasy. If their choice puts our own faith in peril, then it is up to each of us to safeguard our faith (1 John 4:1).
Afterwards the youth participated in some good old fashioned fellowship. The youth continue to be excited for future projects and manifesting that

Redlands Youth Study | October 9, 2019
Tonight’s topic was “Our Covenant with God” stemming from the monthly topic received by the International Ministry of Orthodox.
We visited the covenants that God made with Noah, then Abraham, Israel, and later King David. Each time, it was mankind who failed to meet the conditions and terms of Gods covenant. However, Jesus Christ came to fulfill all the previous covenants and established a NEW covenant, which remains in effect until this day.
We recalled the six questions that the believer consciously and voluntarily answers when entering into this new covenant with God. These terms are set by God, non-negotiable and eternally binding.
The activity helped to reaffirm the youths commitment to the terms and expectations of our covenant with God.
Our friend Chelsea joined us this evening and had many questions at the conclusion of our study which we were happy to answer.

Redlands Youth Study | October 2, 2019
Today the youth were encouraged to see the Bible as one extensive literary work. Within it is the story of God and his plan to dwell in communion with all mankind. This work is carried out through different strategies and characters.
We observed how God first carried out his plan through characters such as Adam, Eve, and Noah, and God ultimately chose to make a covenant with one man and his family in particular: Abraham. Through this lineage we are able to trace Gods original plan through each book of the Bible leading to the coming of Jesus Christ, the son of God. An unmistakeable pattern that is noticed and that is the love of God and his enduring patience.
The Youth were prompted to analyze and make connections via their own reasoning. By utilizing resources and strategies that engaged the Youth’s attention, constructive discussions ensued. 👏🏼
