I have never ascribed to the term, "Minister-in-Training." Preachers, proclaimers, and pastors, are all ministers-in-training (better yet, followers of Christ/humble servants), as we are all seeking to sin less, since we cannot be sinless.
Romans 1:17 (NLT), "This Good News tells us how God makes us right in his sight. This is accomplished from start to finish by faith. As the Scriptures say, “It is through faith that a righteous person has life.
Matthew 28:18-20 (NLT), "18 Jesus came and told his disciples, “I have been given all authority in heaven and on earth. 19 Therefore, go and make disciples of all the nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father and the Son and the Holy Spirit. 20 Teach these new disciples to obey all the commands I have given you. And be sure of this: I am with you always, even to the end of the age.”
Even the veteran pulpiteers will never fully arrive. We are constantly learning and gleaning from the Holy Spirit, and we are "training" for His righteousness.
