Joy of the Feast! On Saturday, 5 September, we were overjoyed to welcome our Archpastor to our beloved parish for His first visit, coinciding with the Apodosis of the Dormition of the Mother of God!

After being welcomed by the parish warden and nearly 30 of our children, Vladyka Matthew tonsured Reader Alexander and tonsured and ordained Subdeacon Michael to the clerical ranks. During the Divine Liturgy, His Grace also ordained Subdeacon Anthony to the Holy Diaconate!

Concelebrating with His Grace were six priests, three deacons, and several subdeacons and servers.

Following the Divine Liturgy, Vladyka Matthew was presented with gifts from the parish, including a hand-painted icon of His patrons and an epitrachelion and small omophorion. Vladyka Matthew then presented the parish with a hand-painted icon from Russia of the parish's patron, St. Innocent of Irkutsk!

Vladyka Matthew also presented long-time parish Warden, John Andrayko, with a Gramota, as well as one for Matushka Abigail and Choir Director, Emma Mary, for their tireless labors in support of the parish and the Russian Orthodox Church!

A wonderful celebratory meal was prepared in the trapeza, during which Vladyka Matthew offered toasts and the children sang for Him.

Following the festal meal, Fr. Joshua was able to show Vladyka Matthew around the property, explaining the many good gifts the Lord is giving to this beloved parish!

Vladyka offered his prayers and continued encouragement, as well as affirming his pleasure and good impression with the piety and kindness of the parishioners, toward putting Christ First in everything!

This did not happen overnight, but involved days of preparation and prayer. Each of the parishioners of this parish FAMILY had some significant involvement in His Grace's visit. Each of them deserve profound thanks!

God is so very kind to us! Our dear Bishop is a true father to us! We have so much for which to be grateful!
