This high school collection of journals for was a delight to create a few years back. Each journal matched the high school study and reflects accordingly on the interior as well.

Using Adobe InDesign and Illustrator, I was able to create some simple yet fun journals for these high schoolers.

Having an opportunity to create journals that will lead others into a deeper relationship and encounter with Jesus is special. It’s moments to pray over the content, to design with the Lord, and to sow seeds into future generations. It’s not just the present moment but the legacy I want to leave that is the reason I design. This project was a reminder of that and such a gift 🎁

I have always heard our hearts are a garden. I thought I was the one tilling the soil of my heart. The one going through and planting, watering, pulling weeds, keeping track of everything.

Then as I began to grow tired from all of the effort, all of the striving, all of the performance, I noticed my garden was still producing fruit. It was still being tended. I leaned in and saw a Gardener, bent over, planting something.

When I asked Him, “Sir how did you get here?” He looked up with that familiar smile - “ I have been here all along. Planting where you thought there was nothing, pulling weeds where you didn’t see them yet growing, and watering that you would always have more than enough.”

Wherever you are at - know that Jesus tends your heart when you lean in and let Him do the work. It’s not passive, it’s quite messy and it will bring up a lot of rocks and weeds but it is WORTH IT.

I will be starting my third and final year and I am so excited.

Barbara will definitely grow me more into a leader this year as we serve inmates in prison, travel, and record episodes for Barb TV on topics like forgiveness, healing, resurrection and more.

I cannot wait to keep you updated on all the good things the Lord will continue to do. The process was a process for sure but we made it! Now it’s time for rest.

Jesus was very clear to me this week: I am your Father of adoption, not doctrine.

He doesn’t want me to “get it right” He wants my heart.

I belong to the inheritance of a promise that was a sacrifice paid once for ALL who want it.

That’s my Dad. He’s amazing. I never want to lose sight of that truth. 💕
