We will not have worship at Fremont Lutheran this Sunday, September 6. St. John's Lutheran Church, 104 East Street, in Essex is celebrating their 150th Anniversary and the Essex Labor Day Community Worship Service at 10:00 AM. There will be Special music by Truelove Quartet. Everyone is welcome to join them for worship and fellowship!

On Sunday, June 14, we began a new ministry in our congregation: the Order of St. John. This ministry invites our children and youth to serve in worship as acolytes, cross-bearers, sanctuary perparers, and helpers in the liturgy. This is inspired by John the Baptist, who prepared the way for Christ. We are proud of the contribution that our youth make to worship and our church family. Also, last Sunday a reception was held at Bethlehem Lutheran for the 35th Anniversary of Pastor Inba's ordination. Congratulations Pastor!

On June 12, Pastor Inba Inbarus celebrated the 35th anniversary of his ordination. and we congratulate him. His positive contributions to our church community have inspired real change. He is worthy of honor and deserves the greatest celebration. Cheers to many more years of carrying out the Lord's work. In May we are sending our Food Pantry items to the Community Food Pantry in Shenandoah. This month they request the following items: Cereal; mandarin oranges; cake, brownie, and muffin mixes; macaroni and cheese; soda and snack crackers; spaghetti sauce and spaghetti noodles; microwave popcorn; rice or pasta side dishes, brown rice; bar soap and shampoo. Don't forget to bring your plastic grocery bags for the pantry to use. A great way to recycle.

We celebrated the Resurrection of Our Lord Easter Sunday. It was our first Easter with Pastor Inba Inbarasu and featured special music by Alicia Johnson. We also had our Annual Easter Garden in honor of our loved ones.

This is Holy Week and we began on Palm Sunday with the procession of Palms and the installation of the new pastor for Fremont Lutheran and Bethlehem Lutheran Inba Inbaraus.
Thursday, April 2, is Maundy Thursday. The service will be at Fremont Lutheran and will begin with a Soup Supper from 5:30-6:30 PM. The service begins at 7:00 PM and we will have communion and celebrate the first communion of some of our young people.
Good Friday is April 3. Bethlehem Lutheran will host a supper from 5:30-6:30 PM and worship will follow at 7:00 PM.
The Resurrection of our Lord Easter Sunday is April 5. Bethlehem Lutheran will host a Sunrise Service at Chatauqua Park at 7:00 AM. Families are invited to come to an Easter Egg Hunt also at Chatauqua Park beginning at 8:00 AM
Worship at Fremont Lutheran will be at 9:30 AM with the Celebration of Holy Communion. We will also feature our Annual Easter Garden to honor family and friends. If you would like to bring a plant please have it at church by Friday. To have your loved one listed in the bulletin contact Christy Walker at 712-370-3127 or email [email protected].
Coffee and rolls will be served at Bethlehem Lutheran at 10:15 AM followed by worship and communion at 11:00 AM.
