The Rev. Thomas "Tom" Theilmann was RHUMC's pastor around 2007-2009. We have fond memories of Tom as our preacher but also our friend. Tom had a quirky sense of humor but was fun. Dave and I (Kristi) were fortunate to have Tom officiate our wedding and attend the reception with Kim, his beloved wife. The RHUMC folks were blessed by witnessing Kim and Tom's relationship grow, attend their joyous wedding, and help with their reception.

Thank you Tom for serving our church. We will miss your corny jokes on Facebook. You will be missed! Please keep Tom's family and friends in your thoughts and prayers! ❤️🙏

Thank you United Methodist Committee on Relief (UMCOR) for responding and helping the people affected by the Washington State fires.

UMCOR gives 100% of your donations to the people. You are not paying for Administrative costs. A special offering is collected on UMCOR Sunday (formerly One Great Hour of Sharing).

Please keep all in your prayers! 🙏

As wildfires continue to burn throughout Washington state, UMCOR is supporting the The Pacific Northwest Conference of The United Methodist Church in their efforts to provide immediate relief to those in need through a solidarity grant. UMCOR is in communication with the conference as they continue to assess needs and coordinate with partners.

Continue in prayer for those who lost everything when their homes burned. Pray for first responders as they work to contain the fires and assist those in need. Pray for safety during evacuations.

To donate in support of U.S. relief and recovery efforts, give here: bit.ly/umcorusdr

As a reminder, please do not self-deploy. You can explore Early Response Team (ERT) volunteer opportunities through your local United Methodist annual conference.

Please share your own prayers for those impacted by the wildfires in the comments.
