Thank you United Methodist Committee on Relief (UMCOR) for responding and helping the people affected by the Washington State fires.

UMCOR gives 100% of your donations to the people. You are not paying for Administrative costs. A special offering is collected on UMCOR Sunday (formerly One Great Hour of Sharing).

As wildfires continue to burn throughout Washington state, UMCOR is supporting the The Pacific Northwest Conference of The United Methodist Church in their efforts to provide immediate relief to those in need through a solidarity grant. UMCOR is in communication with the conference as they continue to assess needs and coordinate with partners.

Continue in prayer for those who lost everything when their homes burned. Pray for first responders as they work to contain the fires and assist those in need. Pray for safety during evacuations.

Congratulations to Red Hook Rotary Secretary Jennifer Van Voorhis on being named Rotarian of the Year for the Red Hook Rotary club.

Red Hook Rotary President Hon. Jonah Triebwasser presents a Paul Harris Fellow award to Jen as a thank you for her extraordinary service.

The Paul Harris Fellow is a recognition by Rotary International for individuals who contribute, or have contributions made in their name, of $1,000 or 1,000 Foundation Points to The Rotary Foundation.

Prayers for Jeannine's friends and family. She attended Pleasant Valley UMC and was a part of the Northeastern Hills Cooperative Parish. ❤️

We mourn the sudden passing of Jeannine Guerra, a Dutchess County Government employee since 2000. She served with dedication in the Department of Community & Family Services as Assistant Social Welfare Manager and she will be greatly missed. We extend our heartfelt condolences to her family and friends. County Executive Sue Serino has directed flags lowered at County facilities in Jeannine’s memory. We are meeting at the church Friday morning to start cooking chili. Then we will be ready for you at 4:30pm
