White Khechari (Dakini) Puja - In person & streaming
2-4 p.m. EDT
September 6, 2026

On the 25th day of each lunar month, we perform an extended version of the feast sadhana (Tsok) of White Khechari (White Vajrayogini) from the terma of Terchen Barway Dorje. "Tsok" means "gathering" in Tibetan. During the tsok, we gather together the things we are offering (usually food) as well as gather ourselves together to do the practice. Gathering together with other practitioners gives us great inspiration. Tsok is an important practice of generosity and we bless the food offerings with our practice and accumulate great merit. After the practice is completed, the blessed food offerings are shared among the participants and may be taken home to share with others.

On the new moon of each lunar month, we perform a session of Medicine Buddha Puja. Medicine Buddha is the manifestation of the healing energy of all enlightened beings, which protects sentient beings from physical and mental sickness and other dangers and obstacles. The practice of Medicine Buddha is a very powerful method for healing ourselves and others, and for overcoming the inner sickness of attachment, hatred, and ignorance.

In Remembrance of Michael Uccellini

KPL would like to offer this puja in remembrance of Michael’s life and in gratitude for his many years of friendship, generosity, and service to KPL.

Michael played an important role in helping KPL find the site that would eventually become its home. Throughout the years, he remained a devoted friend and supporter of KPL and its activities. He helped spread the Dharma by displaying posters for events at his health food store in Red Hook, New York, generously donated various items to the center, and was always willing to offer his help and support to KPL and the sangha community.

With gratitude for Michael’s kindness and generosity, we dedicate the merit of this practice to him, with prayers for his peaceful passage and for an auspicious rebirth.

We warmly invite all who wish to remember Michael and join in these aspirations to participate in the puja, either in person or virtually.
