At Aslan Youth Ministries, our Right Choices program equips students with the tools they need to make wise decisions, build strong character, and become servant leaders in their communities.

Through engaging lessons, real-life discussions, and mentorship, youth learn essential life skills like ethical decision-making, leadership, responsibility, and service. These protective factors are critical for students navigating trauma and systemic poverty, helping them grow in confidence, resilience, and purpose.

When young people learn to make the right choices today, they create brighter futures for tomorrow.

During Black History Month, Aslan Youth Ministries remembers the bravery and legacy of Colonel Tye, a freedom fighter who stood for justice and liberation during the American Revolution.

Born into slavery, Colonel Tye escaped bo***ge and courageously fought for freedom, leading others to safety and becoming a symbol of resistance and hope. His story reminds us that the pursuit of freedom has always required strength, sacrifice, and faith.

As we reflect on his legacy, we encourage our youth to learn their history, walk in courage, and continue building a future rooted in justice and dignity for all.

As we celebrate Black History Month, we recognize Rev. Reginald Jackson, a Monmouth County–based civil rights leader and President of the NAACP New Jersey State Conference. His lifelong advocacy for education equity, voting rights, and youth opportunity continues to strengthen communities across our state.

His work is a reminder that standing up for justice, dignity, and opportunity is a responsibility that spans generations.
