Church reasons for meeting on Sunday, instead of the 7th Day Sabbath on Saturday. (1) Paul preached to the Apostles after dinner on a Sunday, therefore the days were changed. (Acts 20:7) The problem is, it was the only time in the whole Bible there was a Sunday sermon. (2) On Sunday, they gathered up a collection for the Saints, but no sermon was mentioned. (3) The days were changed by the church because they say Christ was risen on Sunday. No one saw Him rise on Sunday. When the Sabbath was passed. (Sun down) Mary came to the sepulcher while still DARK and Christ was gone. (John 20:1) What happened to the Sunrise service? Which ever way you look at it, the church has absolutely NO authority to change the day. "Anyone that adds or takes away the words of this book will be added plaques and take away his part in the Book Of Life." (Rev 22:18,19) Preachers say that the 10 Commandments, Sabbath being 4th, were only given to the Jews. Of course!!!, there weren't any Christians until 4k years later. When Christ was born in the flesh and told us to do & teach them & be called Great in Heaven & the opposite called least.(Mat.5:19) The Church's reasons are so weak it is pathetic. The main reason for the Sabbath, is to HONOR our Heavenly Father by resting on the Day He rested from Creating and told us too. (Isaiah 58:13) Not unto Salvation, but "Love of The Father, is to keep His Commandments." (1 John 5:2,3) Paul preached over 80 times on the 7th Day Sabbath in Acts, Satan does not want our Heavenly Father to be Honored. Rest on Saturday and keep it Holy, Sunday keeping, okay.. I'm independent not SDA.(Jim Gerke)
