This Sunday we'll celebrate the end of another program year and in the spirit of Psalm 96, sing (and play!) a new song to God with Orchestra, Bells, AND choir!

After church we'll celebrate with a Church Picnic (rain or shine!)

We're looking for folks to sign up to bring a dessert or side dish. The sign up link will be in tomorrow's enews.

A Blessed Pride from First Congregational Church of Reading 🏳️‍🌈🏳️‍⚧️
Where no matter who you are, or where you are on life’s journey, we celebrate that you are beloved by God, and you are welcome here!

24 years ago we adopted the following welcome statement (and each Sunday, we read part of it out loud together):
“Believing that Christ’s call “Come unto me” is unconditional, we welcome & embrace all people — people of all races, ethnicities & ages; mental, emotional & physical abilities; gender identities & sexual orientation; economic & social standings, & family & religious traditions. Celebrating the full diversity of God’s creation, we invite all to join us in our worship & to participate in the full life & ministry of this faith community.”

2027 will be our 25th Anniversary of becoming an Open and Affirming congregation! We look forward to re-affirming this covenant of welcome in 2027!
