THIS SUNDAY'S MESSAGE: "WHY DO WE STRUGGLE SO MUCH WITH LOVING GOD FIRST IN OUR LIVES?" (please read before Sunday, 1 John 4:19,20; Deuteronomy 6:4-9; Mark 12:28-34; John 14:15-23) - this is the pinnacle of preaching: HOW DO WE LOVE GOD? IF I HAD ONE SERMON LEFT TO PREACH, THIS WOULD BE IT! It is the most profound question that we as humans can ask and honestly, when people hear: "love God with all of your heart, mind, soul, and strength" we quickly say, "love God with everything ya got" and we move on.

But, from a Jewish perspective, it means so much more. What does it really mean? Have we missed it? I think we have. I think we have made Christianity extremely difficult, we have made it a "performance-based" religion, and we have totally missed what God wants most from us: our hearts. IT IS SO MUCH MORE THAN OBEDIENCE! We will look at the common struggles we all have with this but offer PRACTICAL answers on some things maybe you have not thought about.
