We're back to serving again! Masks and 6' distancing is our approach in this unusually difficult season. It was great to serve again in June... seeing our regulars was exciting as they were also excited to see us!

Let's continue to inspire...together!
During these trying times, our homeless community is counting on us to serve them. This June, the City of Reading has allowed us to resume serving our community in Reading. We will be masked and gloved, ready to attend our Day of Serve.
We are also standing together in support of Black Lives Matter movement by personally and individually offering prayer to our hurting black community of Reading.
If anyone would like to offer their services serving food or prayer to our community register with us to serve this Saturday morning from 10am to 1pm.

We pray healing upon all our communities that are hurting during Covid 19 and Black Lives Matter, and every race across the world affected by these trying times.

As our country is slowly trying to bounce back, well...so are we! We are resuming our Day of Serve in June. We will be following our CDC's guidelines with facemasks, gloves and maintaining 6ft distance. We are thankful to Reading Police for continuing to support us and allowing us to serve our homeless individuals on Reading city streets. Anyone who is looking for an opportunity to give back to their community in this very tough time, please sign up by clicking our link below.

Hello everyone. Because of the nature of our ministry serving one on one the homeless residents of Reading County, and the declaration of our governor and CDC, we will be postponing this weekends serve. Our goal is to keep our volunteers safe and healthy and to stay committed to our residents by resuming serving April 18th. Our faith has not been shaken in any way as we look forward to watching God grow our ministry no matter the outlook of our country current COVID-19 outbreak.

We would like to thank all of our volunteers who have followed up and have been dedicated to serving with us this upcoming weekend despite our cancellation. We look forward to our tentative April serve. We encourage all to take precaution with yourselves and families and continue to trust that God keeps his promises of protection and provision.

Despite the cold weather....here's a snapshot of our youngest volunteer at 12yrs old, Zion, who has served with us for one whole year and never missed a serve day! And our new volunteer couple that joined us for a beautiful Valentine weekend serve. Thank you to our volunteers!

A little story: A man by the name of Jazz approached us to share his story...He was an x-addict and money was certainly a "trigger" for him. He asked for prayer that when he begins his new job that the money would not lead him to loose sight of the positive vision for his life. We prayed for him and he became teary eyed. This was a heart moment for both him and us in seeing the desperation for Christ helping him through his struggles and him wanting a better future for himself.

There have been so many stories like Jazz story that CTH would like for you to become a part of in sharing God's love that are so desperate for him. Even if you don't know Christ and you want help serve CTH is grateful to those with a heart that is willing to help others. UPDATE: Good early morning everyone. Although our ministry has served in a light drizzle and rain and will surely do it again...we will be canceling today's Day of Serve because of the suspected heavy rain and wind. Thank you to the hearts involved in helping prepare for us to serve this morning, and to our volunteer desire to serve with us again! Blessings and have a great weekend all!
