Reading House of Prayer has stood with a specific focus to raise a House of Prayer, mobilizing a worshiping company that would pray fervently and hasten the Day of the Lord. Ministry Leaders, Pastors and prophetic teachers equipped prayer warriors and worshipers to see a move of God across Berks Co and beyond! Over the years, we stood as Watchmen on the Wall on the foundation of the First Commandment "Love the Lord your God with all your heart and with all your soul and with all your mind." We also Pray for the Peace of Jerusalem as we watch over God's covenant for Israel. All this is linked to the Lord releasing His end time purposes on the earth. What a privilege to partner with HIM!

In Joshua 3, we read the account of the children of Israel getting ready to cross the river Jordan. Clear instructions were given to prepare their hearts and watch the movement of the Ark of HIS presence carried on the shoulders of the Levitical priests. At the first sight of movement they were instructed to begin the crossover; they had not gone that way before!

In a similar way, it has come to my (along with the advisory team) attention that it is time to pick up the "Ark of HIS presence" and follow the leading of Holy Spirit in a way we have not gone before. For over 25 years, we committed to praying for the local church (Body of Yeshua) and ministries that serve throughout the city and region. The Life Giving flow of Holy Spirit is moving within churches and ministries across this city with fresh anointing for prayer! I have witnessed this in some of the prayer meetings I have attended! Hallelujah! What a joy to recognize that RHOP has affected change and fostered an atmosphere of prayer throughout our 26 years of existence!

Effective immediately, we came to a unanimous decision to close down RHOP. This in no way is sending a message that prayer is finished in Reading. While it seems like an abrupt end, in this NOW time there are FRESH FIRES starting in prayer meetings throughout our city!! So it's not an end of prayer, we are moving with HIS presence! I will be discontinuing our FB page in the near future. I want to share with you a word from two of our advisors.

A Word from Pastor Craig, LIFE Church Reading:
The children of Israel were people of the cloud of God's Presence. When the cloud moved, they would move with it (Numbers 9:17). For over 25 years, RHOP has carried the presence of God in Greater Reading through worship and prayer and I have seen with my own eyes the transformational effect of this cloud of God's Presence in our city and region. However now we see the cloud moving and recognize we must move with it. Worship and prayer will continue in Reading, but as a local pastor here in Reading, I personally believe that it's time for the local church to take responsibility and equip every believer to pray like never before until Jesus returns. Thank you to Mary Faus and Ken Eberly for your leadership all of these years and helping us as the Church of Jesus to continue this call to be carriers of God's Presence in Greater Reading. - Pastor Craig Nanna, Life Church Reading

A Word from Pastor Angelo, Hope of the Nations CC, Reading:
The Lord called my family to Reading in 2002 to pastor in the city and be part of a transformation that the Lord would accomplish through faithful prayer warriors, worship warriors and preachers of the Gospel of Jesus Christ. We were pleased to find a fledgling House of Prayer that was faithful to bring churches together for united prayer and worship across the city and region. The Reading House of Prayer has been a tremendous blessing over 25 years of fanning the flames of prayer on the altar of God’s city. We’re entering into a time when the prayers of the past are igniting a revival for the future and the baton of revival prayer and spiritual awakening is being passed back to local churches and even a new generation. May we steward it well. Thank you RHOP and all its leaders throughout the years (Ken Eberly, Chad Eberly, Eberly Family, Mary and Jon Faus) and all those who have kept the incense of prayer rising from our city to the Throne of God. What a privilege and honour to have served alongside the RHOP Advisory team and leaders over the years. I have watched each one serve from a place of courageous humility and lean into God's heart for the city and churches they serve. Together we had a team that moved from a place of deep hunger and passion for God's presence and make HIM known in our region through the blood of the Son, Yeshua! Please join me in praying for each one continually.

Finally, Joshua 3 ends with a powerful statement....the priests who bore the ark of the covenant of the Lord stood firm on dry ground in the midst of the Jordan, UNTIL all the Nation finished passing over the Jordan. Then, Joshua 4 begins with the Lord speaking and giving the next directive. Wow.

Join Transformation Prayer Network Leader Pastor Peter Smith this Tuesday from 7-9pm for prayer and a time of worship. Pastor Peter will bring a word from Acts 4 when Peter and John deliver a powerful message. A shaking occurred and many were filled with Holy Spirit. I invite you to come and add your prayers for our city and region.

Acts 4:31 AMPC 31 And when they had prayed, the place in which they were assembled was shaken; and they were all filled with the Holy Spirit, and they continued to speak the Word of God with freedom and boldness and courage.

We are saddened and add our prayers for the family and Nation in mourning for this young man who was assassinated yesterday. We extend our sympathy and condolences to his wife, children and extended family.

May Charlie Kirk’s memory be a blessing to all who knew him. 🕊️🤍🙏🏽

This evening Sept 9 from 7-9pm we will meet at RHOP and recap the prayers from Moccasins across America in Reading. We began our trail at the Lancaster/Berks Co line, walked Penn St and prayed at "the River Speaks". Join us and hear the testimonies from our time together with the team. We will worship and pray to seal what the Lord spoke to us during our walk together that culminated at Hope of the Nations.

THANK YOU to many who helped and shape our time with Moccasins across America! Your contribution was felt and seen by the team! Blessings and Joy for all your help!

Michael has served the Body of Christ in Reading, Berks Co for many years, networking with pastors, leaders and ministries. Michael and Pamela are not strangers with Prayer especially as it affects change in our city and region. You will want to hear Michael share his heart and draw a link to the upcoming Prayer walk and services in Reading on Friday Sept 5. Prepare your heart from Galatians 6:7-10 and we will pray together from the message.

Galatians 6:9 AMPC 9 And let us not lose heart and grow weary and faint in acting nobly and doing right, for in due time and at the appointed season we shall reap, if we do not loosen and relax our courage and faint.

Moccasins Across America make their way East into Pennsylvania this weekend!

RHOP is hosting this team on September 5. The 7pm meeting will be held at Hope of the Nations CC. Parking is available at the Madison St entrance. Doors open at 6:30pm. Everyone Is welcome!

This Tuesday evening, we will NOT be onsite at RHOP. Make plans to join us next Tuesday Sept 2, 7-9pm as Transformative Solutions take the lead in worship and prayer. Michael Kaucher will lead us in a word and we will follow with worship and prayer.

UPDATE: Save the DATE for Friday, September 5, 7-9pm
Moccasins across America arrive in Reading Berks Co at 10am, at the Lancaster Co line. They will then visit two key locations in Berks county, accompanied by worship and prayer. In the evening, we will have a two hour worship and prayer time at a location to be confirmed at one of our city churches. Details are still unfolding for that day. I will share more as details are confirmed. Be on the lookout on FB and email.

This past Friday, we prepared the way for this team with our good friends Alex and Brandi Castillo, the Worship Rebels from Savannah GA. We worshiped, we prayed and prophesied over this city, the region and a move of God's spirit to break into Reading and see God's original intent come into reality for all who dwell in Reading City. We are anticipating GREAT things as we host our visitors. If you wish to sow into what we are doing at RHOP, make your checks out to Reading House of Prayer for a tax deductible gift. On September 5, we are hosting a special gathering to welcome Moccasins Across America into our city and add our support in prayer for their walk across America. At RHOP, we exist to see the fullness of God's heart for every Tribe, Language and Nation. This Tuesday, August 12, Mary will share the premise and purpose of this walk and expound on the Prayer initiatives that have taken place over the years. We will follow with prayer and worship for this current prayer initiative that began in California and will culminate in Washington DC. You are invited to come and let us prepare the Way and Be a Blessing for the Tribes!

2 Corinthians 5:18-19 FNV "It is the Great Spirit Himself who has done all of this! Through the Chosen One, Creator has removed the hostility between human beings and Himself, bringing all creation into harmony once again. The Great Spirit has chosen us to represent Him in the sacred task of helping others find and walk this path of peacemaking and healing - turning enemies into friends. Join Transformative Solutions and Nilda Nieves at RHOP this Tuesday evening from 7-9pm. NIlda will share a word from the gospel of Luke. Worship and prayer will accompany the Word. Over the years, Nilda has discipled young believers in their walk. The main heart cry is to see the young walk in victory, persevere through hardship and come into maturity. Her discipleship and mentoring places the believer to seek for themselves what the Spirit of God is saying to them.
