This year’s Ware Lecture at General Assembly will feature The Rt. Rev. Mariann Budde — Episcopal Bishop of Washington, D.C., and a nationally recognized voice for compassion, justice, and human dignity.

From speaking out in defense of immigrants and trans children to joining multifaith clergy resisting violence and fear, Bishop Budde’s ministry continues to speak powerfully to this moment. We are honored to welcome her as the 2026 Ware Lecturer.

Join us Saturday, June 20 at 8:00 p.m. EDT as UUs gather online and in person for one of the signature events of GA 2026.

The Ware Lecture is available exclusively to registered GA attendees and is not open to the public.

Thank you to Bishop Julia Whitworth for joining us this Sunday!

Our service included a baptism, a reception, and a blessing of our Sunday School teachers and students. Afterwards, we had a lovely coffee hour and discussion... with the room still decorated from the previous night's "Under the Sea" auction night theme!

It will be a full weekend! Not only is our Service Auction Saturday night but the next Sunday Bishop Whitworth will be in the house presiding and celebrating the life of the Good Shepherd with us. Thanks be to God!

What a wonderful group of people! Thank you all for the camaraderie and support.

The Reading Clergy Association (RCA) is baaacck. 😇

It was a wonderful morning of fellowship at Half and Half w/ (l to r) Rev. Emelia (First Congregational Church), Rev. Jungmo (Church of the Nazarene), Rev. JongWook (Old South Church), Rev. Mary (Church of the Good Shepherd), UUCR's very own Melissa and Ayanna.

Our discussion was thoughtful and full of ideas on how we can work together in faith to serve humankind.

There is work to do.
