This Mother’s Day, as flowers bloom and the world celebrates maternal love, we turn our hearts not only in thanksgiving for our earthly mothers, but also in prayerful supplication to our Heavenly Mother, asking her to intercede before the throne of God on behalf of a beloved spiritual father: Monsignor Edward Domin.

Monsignor Domin has selflessly dedicated his priesthood to the service of God’s people, tirelessly offering the sacraments, preaching the Gospel, and guiding souls with humility, wisdom, and compassion. He has been a faithful shepherd, a loving father to his flock, and a visible reflection of Christ’s mercy.

Now, in this season of trial—battling cancer—we unite our hearts in prayer for his healing. We approach Our Lady, Health of the Sick, and ask her to shine down her maternal light upon Monsignor. Just as she wrapped her mantle around her Son as He suffered, may she now wrap her mantle around her priest-son, bringing comfort, peace, and hope.

Mary, Mother of God, you carried within you the Divine Healer. You held Him in your arms, you walked with Him to Calvary, and you rejoiced at His Resurrection. We beg you, dearest Mother, to now hold Monsignor Edward Domin in your arms and present him to your Son, our Lord Jesus Christ, that he may be healed—body, mind, and soul.

Jesus, our Best Friend, you touched the blind and they saw, the deaf and they heard, the dead and they lived again. We trust in Your love. We trust in Your mercy. We trust in Your power. Heal your servant, Monsignor Domin, in the way only You can.

Let this Mother’s Day be one of grace—a day when our prayers rise like incense and call down miracles from heaven through the hands of our Mother and the Heart of her Son.

A Catholic Prayer of Healing for Monsignor Edward Domin

Heavenly Father, Author of Life and Divine Physician of our souls and bodies, we come before You with trust in Your loving mercy. You created Monsignor Edward Domin in Your image and anointed him in Holy Orders to be a reflection of Your Son among us.

Lord Jesus Christ, You are our Redeemer, our Healer, and our Friend. We implore You, in the name of Your Passion, Death, and Resurrection, to lay Your healing hand upon Monsignor Domin. Let Your Precious Blood wash over him, cleansing every cell, every organ, every system in his body. Let cancer be cast out by the power of Your name, and let strength, peace, and restoration take its place.

Holy Spirit, Breath of God, fill Monsignor with courage, hope, and endurance. Breathe new life into his body, new light into his mind, and new joy into his spirit.

Blessed Virgin Mary, Mother of the Eternal High Priest and Health of the Sick, we entrust Monsignor to your maternal care. Intercede for him, dear Mother. Speak his name in the ear of your Son, and may your tender presence be a constant source of consolation. Wrap him in your mantle of love and lead him deeper into the Sacred Heart of Jesus.

Saint Joseph, guardian of the Church and patron of a happy death, stand by him as a protector and friend. Saint Peregrine, patron of those afflicted with cancer, pray for his healing. All holy saints and angels, surround him with heavenly strength.

God of miracles, we ask not only for the healing of the body but for an outpouring of Your grace upon Monsignor Domin’s life— that his suffering may not be in vain, that his faith may grow ever stronger, and that his witness may draw others to You. We make this prayer through Christ our Lord. Amen.
