In case anyone is unaware, and cares, I’m undergoing surgery on Wednesday to repair an aortic aneurysm. The stent installed in January 2023 is leaking, and causing the aneursym to grow once again. It should be a long surgery performed by two teams (vascular and cardiothoracic) at Reading Hospital in the morning. I have extremely good odds of coming through this with only minimal “discomfort” and recovery time, but paralysis is a real (though low) probability. The stent began leaking blood back into the previously-shrinking aneurysm, and we were unaware of it until my latest CT scan. G-d works in mysterious ways. I hope to be home by the end of the weekend next week, but you never know. Please keep me in your thoughts and prayers, every little bit helps. As long as I wake up in the ICU and can
move my limbs, we should be OK.
Something like this makes you realize how few people actually are invested in you and your life, and that saddens me. I wish I had friends and family.
