I know better. It happens every time. "I need to go to the garden to do a few things; it won't take long." Then, I get sucked into the work, into the wonder, into tasks, into the beauty... the plants, the wildflowers, the birds, the insects... I marvel that we toil and sweat as we plant, doing the necessary work, but only God can cause the wonderous growth.

I'm grateful to finally get some plants in the ground at Harvest of Hope. I'm also grateful for volunteers led by Olivia Fitzgerald, the Community Liaison with Mortenson Construction, who cleared some of the beds before planting could begin. I look forward to this garden season. Let me know if you want to get involved with this ministry.

Today, I'm grateful to have had some much needed help in the garden. Savanna, who needed community service hours for Cotton Blossoms was a fantastic worker. Her grandmother pitched in as well. Grateful for a great summer season at the Community Garden. As much as I would love to keep the 'crops' going, the forecast is not favorable so I picked the last of the produce today before the impending frost. God continues to bless the garden ministry with produce, faithful volunteers, and financial resources, so I'm looking forward to replanting in the spring. Until then...
