Yesterday, Pastor Caleb continued our journey through the Gospel of Mark with a message from Mark 10:1–12 titled: "What God Has Joined Together"

In a culture that constantly redefines marriage, Jesus takes us back to the beginning and reminds us of God's good design:

✔ One man and one woman
✔ One flesh
✔ One covenant
✔ One lifetime

The Pharisees wanted to debate exceptions. Jesus pointed them to God's design.

Whether you are married, single, widowed, or have been affected by divorce, this message is filled with both truth and grace as we consider God's plan for marriage and the hope found in Christ.

Over the past few weeks, Pastor Caleb has spent time reflecting on God's faithfulness in his life, family, and ministry, as well as all that God has done at Cedar Baptist Church over the last year. He also found himself thinking about the state of the church, the Southern Baptist Convention, and Christianity as a whole.

As he reflected on all these things, he kept coming back to one simple truth:

The church's greatest need has not changed.

More than programs, personalities, strategies, or trends, what every believer and every church needs is the Word of God.

Last night, he shared those reflections and preached a message titled:

Men, do you want to learn how to study the Bible for yourself?

This August, Cedar Baptist Church is launching the Leadership Institute—a training program designed to help men grow in their understanding of God’s Word and their ability to handle it accurately.

Already, 12 men have signed up to be part of this first cohort. We are grateful for the hunger we are seeing among men who want to know God's Word more deeply and lead more faithfully.

You'll receive:
• Online and in-person instruction
• Guided reading assignments
• Hands-on Bible study training
• Quizzes and a final exam
• Practical tools you can use for the rest of your life

The goal is simple: to equip men to rightly handle the Word of God and serve Christ more effectively in their homes, church, and community.

Yesterday, our pastoral youth intern, Zach Tullis, preached from John 17.

What an encouragement it is to see the Lord raising up men who love Christ, cherish His Word, and desire to faithfully proclaim the truth. The future of the church is not found in new methods or clever ideas, but in men who are captivated by the glory of God and committed to preaching His Word.

In John 17, we are reminded of the Savior’s love for His people, His prayer for their unity, and His desire that they behold His glory. May the Lord deepen our love for Christ and cause us to treasure Him above all else.

We are grateful for Zach and for the opportunity to invest in the next generation of faithful servants!

🍀🐑 Emerald Crossing VBS is just ONE WEEK away! 🐑🍀

The countdown is on! We can't wait to journey through Psalm 23 together and discover the comfort, guidance, and goodness of our Great Shepherd. From rolling green hills and fluffy sheep to fun, music, crafts, and Bible lessons, we're excited for a week filled with learning and fellowship. Pray with us that hearts will be pointed to Jesus, the Good Shepherd. 💚

Here is one of our newest members at Cedar! We are grateful for the Lord’s goodness and kindness and are thankful to welcome our newest member into the church family. God is so faithful, and we praise Him for continuing to work in hearts and bring people together for His glory.

Our annual Community Fish Fry was filled with delicious food, wonderful fellowship, and many smiling faces. Thank you to everyone who helped make this event possible and to all who came out to join us. We are grateful to be part of such a wonderful community! 💙
