To abide means more than simply believing in Jesus—it means to remain, dwell, stay connected, and make your home in Him. In Scripture, the word paints a picture of an unbroken relationship where we continually depend on Christ for strength, guidance, peace, and purpose.
Jesus said:
“Abide in Me, and I in you. As the branch cannot bear fruit by itself unless it abides in the vine, neither can you unless you abide in Me.” — John 15:4
Just as a branch receives life from the vine, we receive spiritual life, growth, and fruitfulness by staying connected to Jesus. Abiding is choosing His presence over distractions, His truth over the world’s opinions, and His ways over our own.
Abiding isn’t a moment—it’s a lifestyle.
It is:
• Walking with God daily.
• Resting in His presence.
• Trusting Him through every season.
• Remaining faithful when life is difficult.
• Allowing His Word to shape our hearts.
• Living in constant communion with Him.
At ABIDE Young Adults Worship Night, our desire is simple: to create a space where young adults can slow down, draw near to Jesus, and experience the life-changing power of remaining in Him. Because when we abide in Christ, we don’t just survive—we grow, flourish, and bear fruit that lasts.
