Join us this Saturday for our 160th anniversary celebration community picnic. We are located at 215 Ann Street. We have a lot of great things going on. We’re grilling hamburgers and hotdog. Bring a side dish to share and spend the day with us. We do have a benefit dessert auction at 2 PM to benefit Operation Christmas Child. See the full schedule below.

The Operation Christmas Child (OCC) dessert auction at the church is this Saturday at 2:00, during the community picnic that runs from 12:00-5:00. Let’s help support our shoebox packing party for OCC by making a purchase.
The picnic is covered dish with hamburgers and hotdogs provided. There will corn hole, watermelon eating contests, sack races for the kids, 50s music playing in the courtyard, a special old fashioned hymn celebration at 4:30 inside the sanctuary and more. Come celebrate our 160th anniversary this weekend on Sat & Sun.

Our church will pause tomorrow (Friday) to remember 9/11. Deacon Jon Moore will be tolling our church bell once per minute beginning at 8:46 to commemorate the event that changed America forever. If you live in Ravenswood, listen for the bell to ring and remember with us. We will never forget,

FBC is heading toward an exciting weekend. On Sunday, September 13, we will have a special worship service commemorating 160 years in our community. Rev. Ken Miller who served FBC from 1993-2004 will bring the message. In addition to Ken, we will be recognizing Rev. Ron Stoner (1973-1984), and Rev. Mark Gerstell (2011-2018) and hearing their reflections during the formal dinner that follows the worship service at 12:30. Together these three men account for nearly 30 years of service in our community. Pastor Toby says, “We hope to see a lot of folks over the weekend celebrating this monumental occasion. Our message to our friends of the church, current members, and inactive members, is simple. Come on home. Come celebrate with us. We’ve missed you. Come grow with us.”
