Jesus Loves Rathdrum

Jesus Loves Rathdrum We’re not a church. But we are part of the body of Christ, and we are all part of local churches. What are we doing? We’re praying. Would you like to join us?

We are a group of local people who, having realized God’s Love for us -
and having responded to that great Love with our whole lives -
want to see the people of Rathdrum come to know just how much God loves them as well. We are a group of local people who, having realized God’s Love for us -

know just how much God loves them as well. Mostly we’re praying for Rathdrum - and asking God to use us. And, as God gives us opportunity and leading, we’re taking action. Feel free to contact us for specific projects we’re undertaking. Each year we host the National Day of Prayer Rally at Rathdrum City Hall -
and the City of Rathdrum's Memorial Day Ceremony at Pinegrove Cemetery. We are also sponsoring occasional community service days to bless our city! Contact us at [email protected] and we'll try to put you in touch with someone else in your neighborhood who is praying for Rathdrum.

For many years Sharron Dillon was the heart and soul of the Rathdrum Food Bank. Sharron passed away peacefully on March 22. A memorial service will be held on Sunday, April 21 at the Rathdrum Lions Club at 1pm.

Sharon Dillon, 85, of Rathdrum, Idaho, passed away peacefully on March 22, 2024 in Pullman, Washington. Sharon was born on March 29, 1938, to Waldon and Verona Thompson in Wichita, Kansas. Sharon lived in Wichita with her brother Richard and sister Linda and then later moved to Colorado, where she met her husband George Dwayne Dillon. Sharon & Dwayne married in 1961 and moved to several places around Colorado due to Dwayne’s job. They eventually moved to Washington and lived in Spokane and Grand Coulee. They adopted two children, Dennis and Delisa, while living in Spokane. In 1977 they moved to Rathdrum, Idaho.
In 1978 Sharon helped start the Rathdrum Food Bank and had been instrumental in running it ever since, right up until shortly before her death. Her work there was all volunteer and was something she deeply believed in and enjoyed doing. She also spent many years running a day care, helping with the WIC program, and many other community and school programs. She was outgoing and loved to talk to people, and many people in the Rathdrum area knew her.
Sharon was preceded in death by her husband Dwayne, sister Linda, brother Richard, parents Waldon and Verona. She is survived by son Dennis Dillon, daughter Delisa Lindstrom (husband Brad), grandchildren Craig Dillon, Samuel Lindstrom, Sarah Lindstrom, and Christina Lindstrom.
A Memorial Service followed by a potluck reception will be held at the Rathdrum Lions Club on April 21, 2024 at 1:00 pm. Memorial gifts to the Rathdrum Food Bank can be made in Sharon’s memory.
