Thankful for all of the prayers from many people as I dealt with a case of shingles and a sinus infection last week. Because of prayers, and the shingles vaccine, and the anti-virals I received in a short window of time, I recovered rather quickly. It was a painful experience that I do not wish to repeat. But I was then able to lead Bible Study and Preach/Lead Worship on Sunday, and able to attend our South Dakota District Convention earlier this week. Praise be to God! And thank you for your prayers!
Now I am also able to go on vacation with my beloved bride for our 26th anniversary next week, and before Lent begins this year.
Feeling very thankful!

In case you haven't heard, Pastor's wife Amy is having surgery to remove her gall bladder today. All of this happened rather quickly so the time of surgery is not known.

On Sunday, there will be no adult bible study before church & Pastor Naasz will be leading worship.

Dear Saints at Peace Lutheran, another sheep of our flock has been shepherded into those greener pastures beside the still waters, to dwell in the house of the Lord forever. Alma Crosbie passed peacefully into her Savior's waiting arms last night, about 45 minutes after I left the hospital.
After not saying much all day, and going in and out of consciousness after they extubated her, I did a final prayer service with her and Gene and their son Casey. At the end of it she was mouthing the words of the Lord's Prayer with us, and I told her that "if Jesus is calling you home, it is ok to go with him."
She is now home with the Lord! Praises be to Christ our King, and the faith He works in us by His Holy Spirit; and for the faith he gave and nourished in Alma.

A further Update on Alma Crosbie after my visit...
So, things drastically changed this morning apparently, and they had to intubate Alama again. She was not breathing well. They also took her off her blood thinners as she had some blood in her lungs. She will NOT be transported to Sioux Falls tomorrow as planned, but will be here in Rapid. Her intubation will be for at least a couple more days.
That is all that I know for now. Prayers for Alma and familyl are greatly appreciated.
