Hundreds of you shared last week’s post about Paul’s thorn , and that tells me something: there’s still a lot of confusion out there.
Not just about a verse, but about the character and nature of God, and how we understand the life Jesus lived while on the earth (and how it translates presently).
Some people have been taught that God uses sickness to teach His children a lesson.
But let’s be honest; what kind of father does that?
There might be some earthly fathers who punish to control, or even harm to prove a point…
But God isn’t twisted, cruel, or double-minded.
He doesn’t make His kids sick so He can be the healer. He doesn’t send cancer to test faith.
A kingdom divided against itself cannot stand.
When the Pharisees accused Jesus of casting out demons by demonic power, He said,
“If Satan drives out Satan, his kingdom is divided and cannot stand.”
(Matthew 12:26)
The same is true for healing.
If sickness came from God, then Jesus would’ve been working against His Father every time He healed.
But Jesus said, “I only do what I see the Father do.”
Sickness was never part of God’s kingdom, that’s why the Healer came. That's why Jesus HEALED ALL.
If you've been duped into thinking you're sick because God wants to teach you something, or gave it to you so He can later get the glory when you're healed...1000% watch last night's episode of Healing Talks and get this settled in your heart once and for all. (Link in comments )
