Romans 1:8-12 (NLT)
8 Let me say first that I thank my God through Jesus Christ for all of you, because your faith in him is being talked about all over the world. 9 God knows how often I pray for you. Day and night I bring you and your needs in prayer to God, whom I serve with all my heart by spreading the Good News about his Son.
10 One of the things I always pray for is the opportunity, God willing, to come at last to see you. 11 For I long to visit you so I can bring you some spiritual gift that will help you grow strong in the Lord. 12 When we get together, I want to encourage you in your faith, but I also want to be encouraged by yours.

Your words carry more power than you realize. In Romans 16, Paul doesn't end his most theological letter with doctrine, he ends it with names. Twenty-nine people he saw, honored, and encouraged. Ordinary people doing extraordinary things for Jesus.

When's the last time you told someone specifically why they matter? Not just "good job," but the real impact they've made on your life? Paul reminds us that encouragement isn't flattery, it's seeing what God is doing in someone and speaking it out loud. Your words can give someone courage to try again, to keep going, to believe they matter.

This week, make your own Romans 16 list. Write down five people who've shaped your life and tell them why. Don't wait for the perfect moment. Be specific. Be sincere. Be timely. Someone needs to hear what you see in them today.
