Here is a letter from your President, and it was sent out via email. If you did not receive it by email, go to www.vttresdias.org and sign up.
Dear Brothers and Sisters in Christ,
While the world situation has changed since we last met, God’s love for His people has not changed. And for that and so many other things, we are very thankful.
The world is praying for physical healing, just as the ten lepers called out to Jesus for healing. Let us pray that more than one out of ten get spiritual healing as well, which is what the world needs.
As far as the weekends are concerned, I have talked to the rectors and the weekends are a go unless we get to the fall-safe point where we cannot physically meet to prepare for the weekends. There is a possibility that we might have the weekends in the spring if we cannot hold them this fall. I have also talked to Jim and Mary at the Wildflower, and they cannot open or have people there until June 15, as of right now. I will talk to Jim about setting up a new date for the Wildflower work weekend and let you know as soon as it is available. We won’t be having any Secuelas until things here in Vermont open up, but we may hold a zoom secretariat if there is a need to do so.
I hope you are all staying healthy and weathering this “Stay Home” order well.
We are keeping busy, doing yard work, cutting wood for next year, connecting a little on Zoom, especially with our local Community Group through Essex Alliance Church. We have also had a grandchild here for 2 weeks, gone home for Easter. Schooling a child and having one here 24/7 has been different! Those days were long gone, so we thought! And next week her sister comes!
I trust you are finding some Sunday service (maybe your own church) and perhaps an online group to join up with. We worship on Sundays at 9:30 with Essex Alliance through a live stream on YouTube. There were over 3,000 views for Easter Sunday’s service. We know things are changing, but God promises that He can bring good from this pandemic. We do know that God is in control, and we do praise Him for who He is and for His love for us.
Stay home and be well, physically and spiritually.
DeColores,
Jerry Cole
