Monday's harvest ready for distribution to our Loaves and Fishes Pantry neighbors - kale, chard, collards (very few thanks to the pests), tomatoes, cucumbers, peppers, and a small harvest of strawberries.

Monday in the garden with Lewis. Seems like every year for the past three or four years we have had one toad. They seem to like the squash leaves.

After joining us for planting on September 12, head over to the Community Fair and Health Fair at Union Bethel. I attended their Community Fair last year and it was a wonderful event.

Today Mount Olive, Milford Mill United Methodist and Union Bethel AME held its 4th Back to School Distribution. For the second year the distribution was held at the Randallstown Public Library in Baltimore County. Thanks to Tasha from Milford, Trina and Shelly from Union Bethel, and Cathy and Ann from Mount Olive and all of the volunteers that came out to unload, set up and clean up. Thanks to everyone who shopped and who donated items for the distribution.
A special thanks to Jarrett, the library manager, whose assistance during the event was much appreciated. and Alicia our contact at the library. It was a joy to work together once again. Last year we served just under 90 students, this year there were 245! We were out of backpacks in the first 30 minutes. We started at 1:45 because there were so many people gathered and by 2:30 we were down to a few items. Everyone was appreciative and surprised at how quickly everything went.
