I have not posted in a while and I was trying to hold my peace about what happened yesterday, but I can't. I have something to get off my chest. Forewarning, please don't come on my page and be ignorant, I am just speaking truth to power. Here we go....
The assassination of Charlie Kirk at Utah Valley University was not just a tragic loss of life—it was a flashpoint in a nation fraying at the seams. His death, amid chants of “White Man Fight Back” and a torrent of polarized reactions online, exposed the raw consequences of racial ignorance and ideological extremism. Kirk’s rhetoric, often steeped in Christian nationalism and dismissive of systemic racism, helped galvanize a conservative movement that saw cultural diversity as a threat rather than a strength. But the divisions Kirk amplified also made him a target in a political climate where disagreement too often escalates into violence.
This moment America is experiencing demands more than mourning—it calls for reflection and reckoning. When racial narratives are weaponized and empathy is cast aside, the cost is not just political—it’s human. The death of Charlie Kirk is a sobering reminder that unchecked division, fueled by racial denial and ideological absolutism, can turn debate into bloodshed. America must confront the deeper sickness: a refusal to see one another as fully human across lines of race, belief, and identity. Until then, the cost will continue to rise.
