Attending church has strengthened my faith in many ways. I grew up in the Philippines and when I was in high school, my family met the missionaries and decided to join the church. We didn’t have much, and there were times when we didn’t have enough money for transportation to church, but my parents made sure that we went every Sunday.

Through those experiences, I learned that when we continue to have faith and put God first, He will bless and strengthen us. Going to church regularly help me see the importance of staying faithful, even in difficult times, and it has made my testimony stronger.

Jack is Back!!!
While serving the people of Pocatello, Idaho the past 2 years, Elder Warnick learned that
"Jesus Christ is the way to true joy and happiness. I know He is not just a name in a book but He’s a real living, breathing being who loves us and wants the best for us. I love Him so much and I know that He is eager to bless all of God's children. I'm so grateful for my Heavenly Father and His plan of joy and happiness that will lead us back to living with Him."

Jack's homecoming is this Sunday, September 6th at 9:00am at the Altisima chapel.

Relief Society has blessed me shown me how much we need each other. I’ve found friendship, perspective, and so many opportunities to simply show up for people. It reminds me that following Jesus can be as simple as noticing someone, making room for them, and helping where we can. And that we don’t have to do everything ourselves.

We are better and stronger when we help each other and let people help us.

The past week was filled with many events across the west.

Three weeks after several wildfires in Eastern Washington destroyed hundreds of homes, two Apostles of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints ministered to Latter-day Saints in the region. President Dieter F. Uchtdorf, Acting President of the Quorum of the Twelve Apostles, and Elder Neil L. Andersen of the Quorum of the Twelve Apostles traveled to Spokane, Washington, for a special meeting and to meet with those affected by recent fires on Sunday, August 23, 2026.

Time to get ready for church with 4 small children. Feeling positive about the morning, so I make crepes. Bad idea, kids spill powdered sugar everywhere and use a whole bottle of whipped cream. I have a bottle of milk ready to give to baby, toddler brother opens the bottle and spills the milk everywhere. My daughter stole my hairbrush, so I have to search the house and use the kids hairbrush. Made toast for me because I haven’t eaten yet. The kids try to take my toast, then tantrums begin. This all happens in 30 minutes.

I still go to church. Why?

I’ve asked myself this question a few times. I know when we get to church the chaos won’t end. However, I know that’s where the Lord needs me to be. I go to church to renew my covenants with the Lord. I go to show Him I will always remember Him and keep His commandments. All of my blessings are because of Him. The strength I receive during my trials is because of Him.

Going to church every Sunday keeps my life centered on Christ, and when my life is centered on Christ, all is well.
