Our Story

God is telling a story. It’s unfolding all around us. It's the greatest story ever told, with the greatest news ever heard. It explains how and why the world came to be, why it is the way it is, and why we long for something more and hope for something better. It’s the true story of God's unconditional love. The story has one central character (Jesus Christ), one central event (the Cross and Resurrection), one central people (the Church), unified by one central message (the Gospel). This "gospel" is the good news that though we are worse than we could fathom, because of Jesus Christ, we are more loved than we could imagine. The Scriptures say, "Christ died for our sins" (1 Cor. 15:3). He died to reverse the effects of Man’s fall and create a new people of God for his glory and their joy. It is the good news of scandalous grace for a sin-stained world—that Jesus is making all things new through the power of resurrection. This gospel of grace changes everything. Jesus and his gospel are at the center of all we are and all we do. He is transforming darkness into light, taking broken people and making them whole. He empowers and redefines us so that our lives spill out for the glory of God and the good of our neighbors. At King's Cross Church, Jesus and his gospel are our foundation.
