This Sunday: It's Outdoor Service week!
Worship with us at 9:00 indoors or 10:30 outdoors on the patio. The weather should be beautiful!

We'll celebrate how the heart of God that we experience in Jesus is mercy. Mercy and steadfast love - rather than rote ritual - are the heart of our faith. As we gather, we receive mercy and healing for our own self-righteousness, and we are sent to show God's merciful heart to the world.

The Trinity is a doctrine that many people get hung up on. But what if it is more than a doctrine? What if it expresses the heart of our faith? We have experienced the God of creation made known in Jesus Christ and with us always through the Holy Spirit. The triune God wraps us into the life of God at every stage. This Sunday we celebrate the mystery of the Holy Trinity in word and sacrament, as we profess the creed, and as we are sent into the world to bear witness to our faith.

After worship, stick around for an update on our Pave the Way campaign! This is not voting meeting, but will contain some key information. Romans Bible Study will be on hiatus for the summer, picking up again in late August.

On this special Sunday four of our youth affirm the promises God made to them in baptism, saying “Yes! I want to continue learning and growing as a disciple of Jesus.” As a bonus, we also get to witness the baptism of two of our youth!

When we affirm our place in God's family in baptism, we become part of the living waters of God’s grace flowing to the world. Surprisingly, this happens not because we have it all figured out, but precisely because we recognize we don’t. “Let anyone who is thirsty come to me,” Jesus says. Recognizing our own thirst, and sharing with others where we have found water, is exactly our mission.

Join us for this special day! If you wish, wear red to celebrate the Spirit. Then join us on the patio for a reception celebrating our confirmands. Bible Study will meet in the Big Room at 10:30.

Outdoor movie night this Sunday!

Join us this Sunday as we welcome families from our wonderful preschool, Saddleback Children's Center! During the Children's Time the kids will sing some songs from chapel for us, and after worship we'll have some special snacks and games out on the patio. Romans Bible Study will take place in the Big Room at 10:30.

In our Gospel reading this week Jesus prays for his disciples before he goes to the cross, and at the heart of his prayer is "that they may be one." We'll explore how amid all the divisions of our world, unity is an essential part of our witness as the church. See you Sunday!
