Today, October 17, is the first National Cremation Placement Day, marking 150 years of cremation in America. This day reminds us of the importance of creating a lasting place to visit, reflect, and remember a loved one.

Some families want a way to keep their loved one close, something they can hold.

Cremation keepsakes make that possible. Cremation stones turn cremated remains into a set of smooth, natural stones. Cremation jewelry allows families to keep a loved one close to their hearts. Keepsake urns, memorial glass, and other small tributes can offer a quiet place on a shelf or desk.

Many families choose more than one keepsake. One piece might stay at a final resting place, another might be placed in a garden, and another might be kept on a desk at home. Some families share keepsakes with children and grandchildren who live far apart, allowing everyone to hold a part of the story.

A keepsake can be a family's only choice for remembrance, or it can complement a permanent place of remembrance.
