✈️ Our Service Corps teams (Brazil, Czech Republic & Slovakia, and USA/Golden State) have made it to their destinations and have begun ministering! Stay tuned for more updates on these three teams.

🛡️ Service Corps is a life-changing experience where members are challenged spiritually in their stewardship and service to God, as well as learning to adapt to new cultures and living environments. We desire that members will draw closer to God and be challenged toward a deeper commitment in ministry and service while gaining a larger vision of God’s work through their Service Corps experience.

🛡️ Commissioning weekend was full of amazing events, moments, and memories. Saturday, the Youth Department organized a young adult worship night where we praised God and shared testimonies. On Sunday, we honored our former and current Service Corps participants. We can’t wait for next year!

🔈 The Salvation Army Ordination and Commissioning weekend is part of the high holy days and is an annual event where new officers, soldiers, and others gather to worship, celebrate, and pray together. During this weekend, the cadets who have completed two years of training are ordained and commissioned to serve in various communities throughout The Salvation Army.

🏅 The Bible Bowl 2026 Championship was thrilling! We had four amazing teams compete to be the Western Territory’s champions! We could not be prouder of every team that put in hours of work, studying God’s word.

🏆 This year, the Joan Kroc Corps Community Center in San Francisco (Golden State) took 4th Place, Denver Citadel Corps (Intermountain) placed 3rd, Torrance Corps (SoCal) placed 2nd, and the 2026 Championship team was the Wrangell Corps (Alaska).

🥇 The top-scoring individual was Clara Edens, followed by Everett Edens and Amura Roher, all from the Wrangell Corps.

🗒️ Bible Bowl is for youth ages 12-18 years old and aims to encourage young people to develop good habits of reading the Bible and memorizing scripture. Its goal is to excite young people with the Word of God and its relevance to their daily lives. Through Bible Bowl, youth across the territory are connected in a common desire to know God more through His Word.

🛡️ We have had a great start to Commissioning! Friday evening, we kicked the weekend off with the first session, and Saturday morning, the THQ Youth Department hosted our annual Bible Bowl Championship! Stay tuned to see the winning teams and more highlights from the weekend.
