Sacred Place Sunday Worship: "More Merciful Than We’d Like" — Hold On, the final week of our summer series on arguing with God. Live Sundays 11 AM Pacific.

Jonah preaches the shortest sermon in scripture, and it works. Nineveh repents, God relents, and the prophet climbs a hill to sulk about it. What do we do when God’s mercy runs wider than we wanted it to?

Sacred Place Sunday Worship: "Not What I Want" — Hold On, week six. Live Sundays 11 AM Pacific.

Sacred Place Sunday Worship: "Into the Dark" — Hold On, week four. Live Sundays 11 AM Pacific.

This summer we're in Hold On, a series about the people in scripture who argued with God. Moses talks God out of destruction. Abraham bargains for a doomed city. A mother refuses to be dismissed. Jesus asks, in a garden on his last night, for another way. What faith does when God goes quiet.

Week four is the hard turn. Psalm 88 is the one psalm that never resolves, and we're reading all of it. What do you do with a prayer that doesn't get answered?
