Important Update for Sunday, August 20th
Dear Church Family,

I have been monitoring the weather situation for southern California over the next 48 hours. Here is the latest from the National Weather Service:

We are in a tropical storm warning. Our area could see sustained winds of 35-45 miles per hour with gusts of 60 mph. This will begin to occur over the Saturday night into Sunday morning timeframe. The most severe weather will be Sunday afternoon into early Monday morning.

We can expect 2-5 inches of rain in our area with as much as 10 inches in the mountains, and the possibility of up to that much in the low desert toward Palm Springs. The bulk of the rain will occur Sunday afternoon into evening.

The National Weather Service now believes the storm will move through faster than initially expected.

All of that to say that we will continue with 10am services in the morning, along with regular morning activities. If there is flooding in your area, please stay safe. I will provide updates as necessary, but if you do not get another message from me by email this will be the plan. If we must cancel due to weather, I will do so by around 6:00am Sunday morning at the latest.

Regrettably, we cannot livestream the service for security reasons. I hope you will all be able to make it for the service at 10am. Our special speaker will be encouraging and challenging for the gospel.
