North Hills Community Church Sunday Service @ 11:00am www.northhills.us
with both Kids and Youth Ministries

Our Vision
To form a Christ-like community devoted to accomplishing Christ’s work in the world, by intriguing the curious to commit, inspiring the committed to grow, so that everyone invests in Christ’s mission. To accomplish this, we aim to develop an environment characterized by:
• Joyful and impacting worship that guides us toward God
• Biblical teaching and training that challenges and shapes

us
• Authentic and nurturing relationships that draw us together
• Culturally relevant outreach that meets people where they are
• People who are prepared and mobilized for meaningful service

Our Values
• Our mission is to be accomplished with excellence.
• Inspired and anointed teaching is a catalyst for changing lives.
• Spiritual formation happens best in accountable and authentic relationships.
• Genuine devotion to Jesus Christ is demonstrated best by serving others with the spiritual gifts that God has given to each Christ-follower.
• Because lost people matter to God, it is imperative that we are intentionally sensitive to the questions and concerns of people who are unfamiliar with church.
• The church is called to expand through the evangelistic effort of its members.
• Sacrificial giving, joyful worship, and earnest prayer are expected activities of every Christ follower.
• God desires that our church be His instrument for demonstrating Christ’s love to all people. Our Strategy

Intrigue
• Cultivate relationships with those who are unfamiliar with church.
• Share our faith story with others and invite them to a have relationship with Christ. Inspire
• Receive biblical instruction and offer God-honoring worship.
• Pursue spiritual maturity and authentic Christian community. Invest
• Discover and employ our gifts, passions, and personality for the service of the church.
• Pursue a course of whole-life stewardship.

This weekend is obviously the most significant time on the Christian calendar. The crucifixion and resurrection of Jesus was, and still is, the most consequential event in human history, and we are so looking forward to remembering and celebrating these events with you.

Our Good Friday service begins at 6:30pm. This is a family style service, so there will be no children’s classes. We will be remembering the events of Jesus’ crucifixion by participating together in Communion.

Sunday is of course Resurrection Day!! We’ll gather at 11:00am. There will be children’s classes during the service. I hope you will join us for this special service and perhaps invite a friend or relative to come along with you.

My hope is that we understand, remember, and honor the importance of this weekend. The impact that Jesus has made on the world and in individual lives is beyond measure. So let's celebrate Him together.

May God’s grace and goodness be with you during this Holy Weekend.

He Is Risen

We have had the pleasure of collaborating to put this event together. It’s a great time to build relationships with the community and the schools we work with. All parents, grandparents and families are welcome to join. If you are interested in volunteering please send DM. All hands are on deck for this event.

Merry Christmas North Hills Family!

It’s the most wonderful time of the year—when we honor, celebrate and reflect upon the events that took place at the time of Jesus’ birth. Christmas is far more than just a birthday party, it’s a season of adoration, contemplation and celebration.

Today, in the town of David, a Savior is born. He is Christ the Lord!

I want to invite you to join us on Christmas Eve to celebrate Jesus’ birth story. To remember some of the events that took place and why they took place. Our service starts at 4:00pm. It’s a “family style service,” meaning we will all be gathered together, no kids or youth classes. I know there is a threat of rain, but we will be inside nice a cozy. I hope to see you then. If not, I really hope you have a great Christmas, and maybe we’ll see you on the following Sunday.

Merry Christmas to you and your family.

Jim

ps. Unfortunately, we will not be streaming this Sunday’s service (12/28) on YouTube. We will be streaming Christmas Eve and you can access it on our YouTube channel:

This project has been a part of us for the last 17 years. Not only did we meet our goal but we exceeded it. The North Town Community has a special place in our hearts. So many hands touch this project and it’s a blessing to every one of them.

Happy Thanksgiving to the North Town Community. We pray these meals are a blessing to you.

Thanksgiving Update

I want to give you a quick update on our Northtown Thanksgiving project. We currently have 237 bags completed, which means only 63 more to go. We have one more week before we deliver the bags so I trust we will reach our goal of 300. I want to thank everyone who contributed this year. After our interview with Shannon from Northtown a week ago, I am convinced that our project is so greatly needed.

If you'd like to help us reach our goal, you can donate $40/bag. Send your donation to our address: North Hills Community Church, PO Box 398, Rancho Cucamonga, CA 91729. Again, thank you so much for your generosity and for helping to make someone's Thanksgiving day a little more special.

Blessings on you. See you Sunday!

Happy All-Hallows Eve. I hope you have a fun and frighten day today. Try not to eat too much candy. I have a couple of important things for this weekend to let you know about.

As you probably know, this Sunday begins the dreaded return to Standard Time. This means we have to turn our clocks back one hour. The good news is you “get an extra hour.” The Bad news, darkness comes sooner. Oh the humanity! Did you know that this practices has been going on since 1918? Ugh!

The second thing has to do with our Northtown Thanksgiving Project. This is our annual effort to provide Thanksgiving bags for those who live in the Northtown Community of Rancho Cucamonga. On Sunday, the director for this program will be joining us to share how the Thanksgiving project helps those in need. I’m really looking forward to you meeting Shannon and hearing about the work of the Northtown Community Center and how the Thanksgiving bags help their community.

If you’d like to support the Thanksgiving project, a single grocery bag cost $40. Our goal is to provide 300 bags. You can send a donation to North Hills Community Church, PO Box 398, Rancho Cucamonga, CA 91729. Thanks for helping out.

I hope to see you on Sunday. Enjoy your “extra hour.”

Blessings to you.

What a joy it is to be able to bless others with the gifts that God has given us. We can extend our comfort to others.

The North Town Community of Rancho Cucamonga is so close to our hearts. For over a decade we have provided Thanksgiving meals to this community.

Some of us never have to think about where our next meal will come from and for others it’s a daily struggle, especially in these uncertain times.

We are trying to provide a thanksgiving meal for 300 families in the community. If you’d like to contribute there’s two ways to help:

1. Grab the shopping list and assemble the items
2. Make a financial donation and we’ll shop for you

It’s that simple!
