Mrs.Joanne Hanson was welcomed into Heaven yesterday morning ! There is no doubt she heard “Well Done thy Good and Faithful Servant “ while our hearts are sadden here , we are thankful for the promise of Heaven !
She gave over 50 years of service at Union Hill as our piano player ! She also served in multiple roles within the church over the years ! She will be greatly missed ! If you have a memory of Mrs. Joanne and how she impacted your life, please share below ❤️

“It’s a Steak Out” 2026 is in the books and as we reflect on this year’s event all I can say is, “This year’s men’s gathering was over the top.” From the mouth watering ribeye steak dinner, to the spirit filling singing of Brother Jonathan Wilburn, to the Holy Ghost inspired preaching of Dr. Joe Arthur. it was truly a special time of worship on this Saturday evening. Brother Joe preached a fantastic message about the disciple, John, and it was very inspiring. Brother Jonathan helped create a great spirit for worship with his selection of songs. During the service our Lord and Savior was glorified as Brother Joe offered numerous examples of John’s love for our Heavenly Father. This year’s event was very well attended as we had over 300 men worshiping our Lord in Spirit and in Truth. We want to thank all who attended and the numerous churches, pastors, and preachers who played a part in the success of this year’s event. Then, on Sunday, following our morning worship everyone made their way to our inaugural “Steak Date” luncheon in our fellowship hall where our men served the ladies and children of the church with another delicious meal. What an amazing weekend it was at Union Hill! We serve an awesome God! To God be the Glory!

Another great breakfast gathering of our Men in Action group and the men from Ephesus Baptist Church at The Southern Lady in Bowdon earlier today. Brother Kevin Jeter, Pastor of Ephesus Baptist, brought a fantastic devotional message. He described what a man should strive to become, from Enoch to Jesus Christ with several Biblical references. Would we be like Shadrach, Meshach, and Abednego or Paul and be willing to be thrown into the fire or even spend time in prison for being guilty of being a Christian? The food was great, as usual, and our spiritual food was even better. Thank you so much Brother Kevin for your words of encouragement. Men, this is your invitation to join us for our next breakfast on Saturday, September 12 at The Southern Lady Restaurant.
