Arrangements;
Rosalyn Irene Salmons, 86, of Tower Hill, IL, passed away at 5:00 a.m. Saturday, August 15, 2026, in St. John’s Hospital, Springfield, IL.
Funeral services will be held at 2:00 p.m. Wednesday, August 19, 2026, at Howe and Yockey Funeral Home, Shelbyville, IL, with Pastor Tonna Percival officiating. Visitation will be from 1:00-2:00 p.m. Wednesday at the funeral home. Burial will be in Robinson Creek Cemetery, Shelbyville, IL.
Rosalyn was born on June 18, 1940, in Shelbyville, IL, the daughter of William and Frances (Eckart) Wooten. She graduated from Tower Hill High School in 1958, where she was active in FHA. Rosalyn married James Edgar “Jim” Salmons on November 26, 1961, and they were blessed with three daughters, Carolyn, Cynthia, and Catherine. Rosalyn was a former member of the Robinson Creek United Methodist Church, Tower Hill United Methodist Church, and Herrick United Methodist Church and was currently attending the Tower Hill Free Methodist Church. She was a former member of the Tower Hill Order of Eastern Star and PTA at Tower Hill Schools, where she served as president.
Rosalyn is survived by her three daughters, Carolyn Fry (Kevin) of Tower Hill, IL, Cynthia Salmons of Tower Hill, IL, and Catherine Brown (Roy) of Tower Hill, IL; three grandchildren; several great grandchildren; and sister-in-law, Vicky Wooten of Mt. Zion, IL.
She was preceded in death by her parents, William and Frances Wooten; husband, Jim Salmons on March 1, 2024; and brother, Frank Wooten.

It has been a busy couple weeks🙂Pastor had surgery a couple weeks ago and we have been blessed with wonderful ministry filling the pulpit for him. August 1st we were blessed to have Bro. Kyle Perry and his family with us. Bro. Kyle is an anointed Holy Ghost preaching fire ball. August 8th we were blessed with the ministry of Bro Shane Needham and Sis Rijeana Needham and their family.
Blessing us with their children's ministry. We love and appreciate both of these families. . Mid week services we have been blessed with some of our own bringing the Word. Bro Andy Hebenstreit and Pastors mother Sis Donna Morell. Our Church is blessed with some of the best. We have also been doing back to school supplies every Sunday the last 4 weeks and every Tuesday evening we've been having a concession stand at the farmers market selling food. Also we are in the middle of doing a handicapped accessible parking area and renovations to the front of the church. A big shout out to everyone that's been helping with that building project. So we have been a busy Church! Get ready for a large photo drop. 😁 Unfortunately I don't have pictures of everyone that's been involved but they knew who they are and the Lord has many blessings in store for them!

Please join us this Sunday, August 9th at 10 am . Brother and Sister Needham and their family will be with us for a back to school children's service. Bring your children and come on out for a wonderful service. We will also have school supply giveaway after service. See you Sunday at 10:00 a.m.!!
