Earlier this week, my Goddaughter Izzy came to see the property. She got to see the progress on the capela, go for a hike and pick tomatoes. Today, Ryan and Jeff finished two more boxes after a slight delay because of the rain storm. They were extremely efficient today and only have 3 more to complete. Tyler and I worked on emptying out the older 5th wheel. At the end of the day, Dan came for a surprise visit.

First work day of the new year. Ryan and Jeff cut all of the remaining joints and painted 3 boxes worth (24) ends. They also painted the remaining boxes inside so we can hang joints tomorrow. Next they will paint the last 2 boxes worth of joints (16) as they install them. By the end of next week we should have all the joints in.

Today, Ryan and Jeff painted 8 joists and 2 boxes. Then they installed 8 joists. 3 boxes done and 5 more to go.

Ryan and Jeff were busy working on the rest of the property, but managed to also add the two support posts to the second row beams on the deck.

We now have the joints in on 1/4 of the boxes on the decking.

Today, Ryan and Jeff got back to working on the capela. They got 1/2 of the joists in box 2 complete. Tyler Goulart continued working on the trail and is about half way up the hill. Lastly, they covered everything for the rain that is coming.

Friday, we started putting in the joists. The last photo is the view looking west from the chapel site. We got 3 of the 8 joists in block 1 installed.

We finished all 8 deck frames today. Next week we will start staining and adding the joints.
