“Those who hope in the Lord will renew their strength. They will soar on wings like eagles; they will run and not grow weary, they will walk and not be faint.” Isaiah 40:31

Life Application:

Some days I feel like I’m soaring, and other days I feel like I’m just trying to make it to bedtime. 😂 Between work, family, responsibilities, and all the little things that fill a day, it’s easy to feel drained.

I love that this verse doesn’t just talk about soaring. It also talks about walking. Most of life isn’t lived on mountaintops…it’s lived in the everyday moments. Packing lunches, answering emails, folding laundry, caring for family, showing up for work, and doing it all again tomorrow.

God doesn’t just give us strength for the big moments. He gives us strength for the ordinary ones too.

“Dear brothers and sisters, pattern your lives after mine, and learn from those who follow our example.

For I have told you often before, and I say it again with tears in my eyes, that there are many whose conduct shows they are really enemies of the cross of Christ.

They are headed for destruction. Their god is their appetite, they brag about shameful things, and they think only about this life here on earth.

But we are citizens of heaven, where the Lord Jesus Christ lives. And we are eagerly waiting for him to return as our Savior. “
Philippians 3:17-20

Life Application:

If I’m honest, I can get pretty caught up in the daily stuff…..work, schedules, laundry, bills, errands, and all the things that seem urgent. Before I know it, my focus is completely on what’s happening right in front of me.

Paul’s words are a good reminder that while these things matter, they aren’t what matter most. This world is temporary. As believers, our true home is with Jesus (That touches my Spirit, right there). That doesn’t mean we ignore our responsibilities here. We do have purpose here.

It is comforting to know that this isn’t all there is. God is preparing something far greater than anything we can see today. I don’t know about you, but I can’t wait to see!!

“Commit your work to the Lord, and your plans will be established.” Proverbs 16:3

Life Application:

I think a lot of us start the day already overwhelmed by everything we need to do, fix, remember, or figure out. We make plans, stress over schedules, and try to hold everything together ourselves.

But there’s something comforting about knowing we can hand our day to God first.

And “work” looks different for everybody.

Maybe it’s teaching, parenting, working long shifts, studying for school, taking care of grandkids, running a home, helping take care of someone you love, or maybe you’re older and no longer working…but you’re still showing up every day, praying for your family, encouraging others, and doing the quiet work that still matters so much!!

Start the day with God… and let Him lead the rest. 🤍

“The joy of the Lord is your strength.” Nehemiah 8:10

Life Application:

As a mom, sometimes you have to find joy in things that honestly aren’t that joyful 😂 like reheating your coffee for the third time, hearing “mom” 47 times in five minutes, or finally sitting down just to remember someone needs something.

Somehow those chaotic, exhausting little moments end up becoming the sweetest memories, too (or that’s what I hear, anyway 😂). Life may not always feel calm or perfect, but God still gives us joy right in the middle of the mess.

Joy doesn’t have to wait for perfect days. 🤍

“Create in me a clean heart, O God, and renew a right spirit within me.” Psalm 51:10

Life Application:

Sometimes we focus so much on fixing everything around us that we forget to check on ourselves. Hurt, stress, comparison, anger, pride, exhaustion…it all builds up over time if we’re not careful.

David’s prayer in this verse is simple but powerful: “God, work on me.” Not just my situation, but my heart, my attitude, my thoughts, and my spirit.

None of us are perfect, and God never asked us to be. He just wants us to keep coming back to Him and letting Him renew the parts of us that life has worn down.

“And let us not grow weary of doing good, for in due season we will reap, if we do not give up.” Galatians 6:9

Life Application:

Sometimes doing the right thing gets exhausting. Loving people, showing kindness, working hard, staying patient, and keeping faith…it can almost wear you down sometimes. Especially if you don’t feel like you are appreciated. We don’t do good things for recognition or praise, but if we’re honest, constantly pouring into others without feeling appreciated can make you tired sometimes.

But God sees you. He sees when you keep loving, showing kindness, working hard, being patient, and having faith. So, keep going. Keep praying. Don’t give up. Keep loving people. Even when we can’t see YET, we can trust that God is growing something good in our lives! 💕

“For God knew his people in advance, and he chose them to become like his Son, so that his Son would be the firstborn among many brothers and sisters. And having chosen them, he called them to come to him. And having called them, he gave them right standing with himself. And having given them right standing, he gave them his glory.
What shall we say about such wonderful things as these? If God is for us, who can ever be against us?” Romans 8: 28-31

Life Application:

We are chosen by God. Before we ever had everything figured out, before the mistakes, the doubts, or the hard seasons…He already knew us AND wanted us.

He chose us to be His. Not because we’re perfect, but because of His love and purpose for our lives.
