Longview United Methodist Church

Longview United Methodist Church Embrace, equip and engage the people of God. To all who rejoice and wish to praise God. To all who mourn and need comfort. To all who sin and need a Savior.

To all who are friendless and need Christian Fellowship. To all who pray and to those who do not, but should. This church opens wide her doors. And in the name of the Lord Jesus Christ says "Welcome"

My dad, Walter Morris Jr., worked tirelessly in this Church after retiring from the NCDOT. He found his faith and put his trust in the Lord. Till this day he still does and I’m sure, if able, he’d still be doing it had the Longview United Methodist Church remained.

There were others, some I remember well, Ben Seymour, Mrs. McMillian, she taught us. Ben mowed the grass and took care of the landscaping, much like my dad after Ben moved on.

Many are destined to give their whole to God. Wish I was one, but my feelings for this place that once served as my daycare, Sunday school, and Church I’ll never forget.

Just saw this page I created of the old Church in 2015! Wow! Eight years ago.
I guess its cause it’s Sunday. I’ll be digging up old photos soon and posting. If anyone would like to add photos or posts let me know!

I created this page in 2015 when my dad, mom and the remaining few faithful and Longview United Methodists Church we’re trying to save it. Sadly, they were unable to go so and the Church I and many others grew up in no longer stands. Memories now are all that remains and these photos of mine and others.
