So many times we worry about what happened or why it happened. I believe that the tough times , the “misses” if you will in life make us who we are.
Are you defined by your short comings or are you stronger and wiser because of them ?
I pray that I am the latter …..
I know that God has closed doors in my life only to open one soooo much greater…

I just don’t like putting on line … holding the spool between your toes , these old eyes trying to run the line through these micro guides, the cost of line, the time it takes …
Well I decided to try and make it easier. Built this spooling area in my garage. Used some old brackets from satellite dishes , can of spray paint and I like the way it turned out.
Might make it more refined this winter but it’s gonna work for now.
And I can see my TV 😆

Been working on re spooling some more tackle getting ready to start some time on Douglas and I wanted to show you all another impressive rod and company. This is a Dixie Custom rod … 6’1” designed for top water … this little dude is the deal for pin point casting a popper , slow rolling a spinner bait and I also use it to skip a stick bait under the docks and trees.
As good as these rods are the owner is even a better guy. When you meet him , what you see is the real deal… no illusions of something he is not…. At the local shows he is a legend for good reason. Check out Dixie Custom rods if you are in need of a new rod. I have a few more rods from Dixie I will show off another day.

Been a while since I have posted but wanted to let you see one of the new set ups I’ve been trying.
I’ve been looking for new rods and I gave this Ark Tharp “Hammer “ rod a work out at lake Murray. Really impressed with this rod and Just Fishin has a great assortment of these
Re-spooling this Revo Rocket and I’m gonna let this thing eat on Douglas this next week. I’m gonna throw a buzz bait until my arm falls off. 😂
Then I will pick up a jig.

Ok ok ok…. The jig guy might have got a little over zealous with this fuzzy ball craze. Pretty sure they messed up my order , but either way I have too many of the ones in a box. I don’t read Chinese so I don’t know the size or color but you can see them.
Gonna sell 8 of the ones in a box at 10 bucks plus shipping.

With the temps rising and those grills getting fired up.. it’s time for some coleslaw…. Only question is , do you like it on your dog or on the side.
Here is my favorite coleslaw.
We have them in swim jigs and bladed jigs.
That spinner bait is a new old KVD with a skirt I tied on. If someone wants it I will let it go , if not I’m saving it for Murray in a couple of weeks.
Remember custom means custom. If you want something created we can likely make it.
