NRUMC Church Picnic: Saturday July 13th at Falls Lake, from 11:00am-2:30pm at Falls Lake- Rollingview Shelter #13. The address is 4201 Baptist Road in Durham. There is no breakfast at church this Saturday. Please plan to attend and bring the whole family for church fellowship at the lake!

With Spring starting, I’m thinking about our UMM Summer Picnic July 8. Instead of meeting for breakfast at church, we’ll take it outdoors for a cookout at Rollingview Campground on Falls Lake. This secluded pavilion on a cove is also close to the fishing pier. (There’s also a beach nearby and playground.) Open for . families and guests . inside, and outside, of church.

We also have a busy Spring. April 8th, our breakfast speaker is from a great organization in our community called Neighbor 2 Neighbor. April 21 is our Spring Chicken BBQ (pre order sales and volunteers needed). April 29th . is UMM day to work on the Habitat 4 Humanity House. Have a great week!

Happy, and Blessed, New Year! We hope everyone had a wonderful Christmas and 2023 is off to a great start. The NRUMM has exciting things planned this year. Our first Breakfast meeting, on January 14, features Brenda McLean with an interesting, and insightful, presentation on the history of Duke University.

Thanks in part to toy, and money, donations from the NRUMM- they fillled a bread truck full of toys for Lost Sheep Ministries’ Christmas event this Saturday!

Gordon Osborne also delivered an insightful presentation, at our December, breakfast, .showing us how our support of the West Africa SIMS missions impacts many lives. Have a blessed Advent season.

Phillip Brickle said he is so grateful to our Men who donated food for this year’s Thanksgiving Meal Giveaway. The food you brought to the November Men’s breakfast helped make 370 turkey dinners for people in need in Raleigh! We’ll have a toy drive to help him serve our community again for the December breakfast. Have a Blessed Thanksgiving!

Great job this week on a very successful BBQ/Brunswick Stew Sale. It was great seeing so many men, and women, helping out. It was also great seeing many church members eating at lunch and dinner. We did very well and still have 65 lbs of BBQ remaining for sale in the kitchen.
