This past Saturday was a busy day in our church building. We had a young adult bible study, we had a youth group 6th grader move up/welcome day, and a ladies brunch! These picture show part of what all was going on. Especially notice the womens beattiude mugs and the Youth Group joke bulletin board.

Tonight we will have even more going on as we gather to praise God together. We will have kids bible classes (for all ages), youth bible class, adult bible class, and spanish bible class. All those classes start at 7PM. We hope you can join us!

The greatest event of the Bible and human history is the resurrection of Jesus. It’s the greatest for numerous reasons among which the resurrection of Jesus guarantees his return. As the 12 stand, watching Jesus ascend into heaven after his resurrection, an angel appears and makes the statement “will come in the same way”. Jesus is going to come back and with this news, all Christians should rejoice and be encouraged!

Jesus acknowledges the struggles of life by using the word “tribulation”. This term means affliction and/suffering to the extreme. No one, not even Jesus could get away from tribulation. What Jesus does offer to us is himself. Jesus is the source of our peace and our courage when we face tribulation. How can he be the source? Jesus is the source because He overcomes the worst through His resurrection. His power and his presence knows no limit.

High School and College graduations are taking place. These moments, like others, are pivotal times in our lives that can chart the course of our future. One key way of approaching these moments or any others is to make the plan of next steps but then commit those plans to God for his will to be accomplished. How do we commit these plans? We pray, we seek wisdom from Scripture, and we pursue guidance from trusted, godly advisors. Make sure to commit this day and everyday to God for his blessing!

Ps. 119:50 (NLT) “Your promise revives me; it comforts me in all my troubles.”

The promises of God are indeed powerful and comforting for us. These promises are powerful because they are rooted in God’s character. A character that when a promise is made, a promise is kept.

What is your favorite Bible promise? Why is it your favorite? Tell us below!
