How are we to understand the role of the Holy Spirit? It can be confusing! Last Sunday, Rev. Amy shared that we can look at the Holy Spirit as our comforter, encourager, and helper. The key to discerning the Spirit of truth is to look at life and people through the lens of love. And that doesn't mean simply love as a feeling, but love put into action. Ultimately, loving others as Jesus loved us is the answer, and the Holy Spirit can encourage us, guide us to do so.

Picture about 15 standard pickup truck beds full of mulch, or better yet, imagine roughly 135 large wheelbarrow loads of mulch - that's how much mulch was spread around the church grounds at last Saturday's workday. Wow!

Beyond the mulching, the Sanctuary windows were cleaned, items were moved to more logical storage locations, bushes had been trimmed, and flower beds were cleaned. Thank you to Shelley, Annemarie, Julia, Mike, Chris from Open Arms Fitness, Betsy, Rev. Amy and Chris, Katie and Patrick, Jenni and her son from the Scouts, and our friends from Emmanuel Presbyterian. A special thank you to Harvey, who organized and prepped for the workday, and to Brenda for planting and helping before and on the workday.

Do you ever wonder how you got to where you are in life?! Do you ever feel uncertain about what's ahead?

Jeremy Russo took inspiration from John 14:1-14, focusing on Jesus' farewell words to his disciples at the Last Supper. Drawing on Thomas and Philip's confused questions about where Jesus was going, Jeremy explores how we naturally crave clarity and direction during times of transition and uncertainty. Jesus' response — "I am the way, the truth, and the life" — is not as a map or plan, but a reassurance of God's abiding presence, a relationship that doesn't depend on physical proximity and specific circumstances in our lives!
